PURPLEBECK (퍼플백) is a girl group under Majesty Entertainment that debuted June 24, 2019 with their first single album "Crystal Ball." The members consist of leader Yeowool (여울), Yerim (예림), Layeon (라연), Min-i (민이), and maknae Seyeon (세연). Recently the group celebrated their two-year anniversary. The vivacious ladies of PURPLEBECK were kind enough to converse with KpopWise.

언제 음악을 시작하게 되셨나요?
Yeowool: All members are similar. I dreamed of becoming a singer since I was very young, and it was 4-5 years before my debut that I started making music in earnest.
멤버 모두 비슷해요. 아주 어릴 때부터 가수의 꿈을 키웠고, 본격적으로 음악을 하게 된 건 데뷔 4~5년전부터입니다.
Do you have any other hobbies or non music related to music?
다른 취미가 있으시나요?
Yeowool: I like to watch horror movies.
여울: 공포영화 보는 것을 좋아해요.
Min-i: I don’t have any special hobbies, but these days I cook for my unnies. No taste though.
민이: 특별한 취미는 없지만, 요즘은 언니들을 위해 요리를 해요. 맛은 없지만.
Yerim: On holidays, I unconditionally take a break. I like watching dramas other than dancing and singing. Oh, I like taking camera selfies.
예림: 휴일에는 무조건 휴식을 취해요. 춤 노래 말고는 드라마 보는 걸 좋아해요. 아, 셀피카메라 찍는 걸 좋아해요.
Layeon: These days, I enjoy exercising alone. I also like to walk alone. Since I live in a dorm, I have a craving for being alone.
라연: 요즘은 혼자서 운동하는걸 즐겨요. 혼자 걷는 것도 좋아하구요. 숙소생활을 하다보니 오히려 혼자하는 것에 갈망이 있네요.
Seyeon: Except for dancing and singing, I enjoy spending time alone listening to music and thinking.
세연: 저는 춤과 노래할 때 말고는 혼자 음악 듣고 생각하는 시간을 즐겨요.

Yeowool: I can’t contain all of my heart overflowing with the words I love you, but I’ll put all of my heart into it and say I love you a lot. I exist today because of Becky.
여울 : 사랑한다는 말에 넘치는 내 마음을 전부 담을 순 없지만 내 마음을 전부 눌러 담아서 말할게 많이 사랑해 Becky가 있어서 내가 오늘도 존재해
