Girl Group RHEA Debuts With Time Travel



The five member girl group RHEA debuted October 2 with "Time Travel". The song was released on streaming sites, however no music video has been released yet. 

The group's name derives from the ancient Greek goddess Rhea, a Titaness considered the mother of the 12 Olympian gods. Continuing the theme of mythology the members of RHEA each have a group play name inspired by goddesses. 



Name: Soojin
Group Play Name: Vesta
Position: Leader
Vesta is the goddess of hearth, home and family in Roman mythology. In Greek mythology her counterpart is Hesita. 



Name: Jiye
Group Play Name: Hera
Hera is the Greek goddess of women, marriage, family and childbirth. She's also one of the 12 Olympian gods and Zeus's wife. 



Name: Eunjeong
Group Play Name: Flora
Flora is Roman fertility goddess as well as a goddess of Spring and flowers



Name: Byeolha
Group Play Name: Thetis
Thetis has a few roles in Greek mythology, occasionally as a water nymph, a goddess of water herself or one of the Neredis. She is also the mother of the demi god Achilles.



Name: Jaeeun
Group Play Name: Selene
In ancient Greece Selene was considered not just a moon goddess but the personification of the moon itself and was often associated with fellow lunar goddesses Artemis and Hecate.
