Cha Eunwoo to Join Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton in Hollywood Movie Kpop: Lost in America

On June 30, DEADLINE reported that Rebel Wilson (Senior Year) and Charles Melton (Riverdale) have been cast in the K-pop-centered movie K-pop: Lost in America. On July 1, Star News reported that popular idol and actor Cha Eunwoo (True Beauty) will be joining the cast as well.

The film is being produced by Lynda Obst and Korean agency CJ Entertainment's Miky Lee. The film is directed by award-winning South Korean filmmaker JK Youn known for Ode to My Father (2014).

The story revolved around a K-pop group that gets stranded with no phones, money, or transportation in Waxo, Texas, days before their American debut at Madison Square Garden and must find away to overcome differences and obstacles to make it there in time.

The filming for the movie is expected to begin this fall.
