[REVIEW] Beyond Live: SHINee’s KEY Killed the Stage at G.O.A.T. IN THE KEYLAND” Solo Concert

We know where to go, which comes from the “Gasoline” lyrics, is the keyword of the last date of the SHINee’s KEY solo concert “G.O.A.T IN THE KEYLAND”.

You know when a good show is, in the moment where your heart skips a beat at the first two words of the beginning of the stage. This is what happened on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 4PM (KST) on Beyond Live for the SHINee KEY's solo concert “G.O.A.T IN THE KEYLAND.”

가솔린 (GASOLINE)” was the first song performed in the two days long mini-tour in South Korea. The choice is not disclosed KEY in his first ment, describing the title track of his 2nd full-album “GASOLINE” a must for an energetic beginning, softed by the second song on the set-list “Guilty Pleasure” with its catching up sexy vibes.

Another Life”, already performed in an exclusive music video on YouTube and “Yellow Tape” included in the 2nd mini-album “BAD LOVE” are well-known tracks.  In addition, new music was played during the concert with unseen VCR where KEY danced and lip-synched “Heartless”, and “Easy.”

The single “Villain” had a rearranged version without the presence of NCT DREAM’s JENO, followed by amazing “Show Me” and “Hologram” performances, making SHINee WORLD (SHINee’s Fandom waving the official group lightstick) scream his name on the notes of the songs.

Saturday Night,” “Delight,” “Forever Yours,” and “I Wanna Be” were performed with an outfit changing in the middle of the concert, including the beautiful “Proud” written by KEY.

The second ment included the storytelling of the songs played before and the mention of the presence of SHINee’s members ONEW and MINHO, GIRLS’ GENERATION’s TAEYEON, KODEKUNST and SEVENTEEN’s HOSHI

Three leisurely songs “One Of Those Night (Acoustic)”, “I Can’t Sleep”, and “Image”, lighted up KEY’s voice, making the atmosphere more enjoyable.

Helium”, “Ain’t Gonna Dance”, and “Bound” first times performed in front of a crowd stage, were the focus on the third talk, which had an interesting turn out: KEY asked the fandom which outfit they like the most and they answered the second one (based on the 2nd full-album concept) instead of the first (a brand new shining look of “GASOLINE” music video) and the total cloth with belts around the right arm.

Eighteen (End Of My World)” written by KEY, thinking about when he turned eighteen, followed by “Burn” another song performed for the first time in front of the fandom, and “Chemicals” from the last full-album, were played before the fourth ment before “This is Life”, a song which I’ve enjoyed for its words and encore.

A “Bad LoveExtended Version was a surprise performance full of energy, although KEY said he was really tired at the very last song of the concert lasting about two half and hour with the song representing the stage name “G.O.A.T (Great Of All Time)”. At the very end, he was touched by the fandom energy and love he felt during the show. His eyes were shining, making eye contact with the people present at the event.

In conclusion, my experience with the digital platform BEYOND LIVE was moreclose-up enjoyable than the last time. I really like the close up on the artist who was the center of the show.

I’ll tell, in my honest opinion, it’s my first time having fun and liking a solo concert like I did with SHINee’s KEY
