Jungkook from BTS has announced the release of his new single "3-D" due out Friday, September 29 at 1 pm KST. His second solo single follows hot of the success of his previous single "Seven". The announcement was made during his performance as headliner at the Global Citizen show in New York on Saturday, September 23rd. Jungkook performed four songs, including "Seven (feat Latto)”, and was joined on stage by Latto, making their first appearance together since the release. Their performance was made even more stunning by Latto's jaw-dropping outfit.
The teaser was short and brief apart from the sound of Jungkook's melodic voice singing 3-D, shortly after Bighit announced the news of his new single. In a statement, the company stated“We are excited to announce the release of BTS member Jung Kook’s digital single “3D (feat. Jack Harlow). Jung Kook’s second solo single, “3D (feat. Jack Harlow),” is a Pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions. Get ready to meet an even more mature side of Jung Kook following “Seven (feat. Latto)”. Jack Harlow has featured in this track, bringing his unique rap style and adding zest to the song.”

Concept photos accompanied reveal the theme aesthetics of the late 90’s early 00’s, reminiscent of Michael and Janet Jackson’s iconic music video “Scream.” During his appearance on band member SUGA’s YouTube show Suchwita, Jungkook announced he plans for a mini album to be released after his upcoming second single.
