Mnet's "Road to Kingdom" to Return for Season 2 in 2024

On April 25, it was announced that the Mnet boy group competition program Road to Kingdom will be returning for a second season for the second half of 2024.

'Road to Kingdom' is a program where talented idols compete to get to 'Kingdom', the first gateway to take the throne. Season 1, which aired in 2020, featured Golden Child, The Boyz, VERIVERY, ONF, ONEUS, Pentagon, and T.O.1.

Road to Kingdom is said to have provided an opportunity for talented boy groups to receive attention and had a positive impact on raising their awareness and attracting fandom. In fact, The Boyz, who won by attracting attention with their spectacular stages in each contest, and ONF, who took runners-up by showing their strong musical style, were reborn as K-pop trends through 'Road to Kingdom'.

It was reported that the hot rookie groups xikers, The New Six and 8TURN will be joining the show.

ATEEZ’s younger brother group’ xikers is a 10-member boy group that debuted with their first mini album "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Doorbell Ringing" in March last year. Recently, their third mini album "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial And Error" ranked 73rd on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200'.

The New Six, a six-member boy group under P-Nation led by PSY, was formed through the SBS audition Loud and debuted in May 2022. They made a comeback with the digital single 'FUEGO' last March and achieved the success of exceeding 10 million views of the music video within 5 days of its release.

The 8-member boy group 8TURN debuted with their first mini album '8TURNRISE' in January last year. The third mini-album "STUNNING", released in January, surpassed 119,100 copies in the first week, showing more than twice the growth compared to the previous album.

As expectations for the three teams' performances grow, attention is focused on which other teams will join the lineup and compete with them.
