The Academy Announces Official Agency Partners Ahead of K-POP Boot Camp Auditions

 

On June 01, 2024, The Academy Australia (“The Academy”) will begin hosting their live and online auditions for The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp. This special flagship event is a tailored program, where aspiring talents can explore their dreams, as well as experience the realities of what it’s like being a K-Pop idol trainee through comprehensive vocal and dance training in Seoul, South Korea. The Academy, along with its global audition partners, will be hosting live and online auditions from June 01, 2024 - June 09, 2024 (AEST). The Academy and its official agency partners such as PLEDIS Entertainment, FNC Entertainment, ABYSS Company, and more, will be reviewing each live and online audition submitted by all applicants. WHAT THE 2024 K-POP BOOT CAMP IS ALL ABOUT

Over the span of a 10-day period, the Top 100 trainees will get the opportunity to experience the life of a K-Pop idol trainee. The 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp is set to take place on December 10, 2024 - December 20, 2024, at the HI Seoul Youth Hostel. This opportunity includes following a rigorous trainee schedule that consists of daily and weekly physical training, dance foundation, 12 hours of vocal training, 16 hours of choreography dance training, assisted self-practice time, and participating in other various activities. For the chosen trainees, who plan on participating in The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp,  will need to make a $3,850 AUD payment to not only show commitment to participating in the boot camp, but also have the payment fees go towards free airport transfers, 3 meals a day, and having shared trainee accommodations for a span of 10 nights. In addition, participating in The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp includes being part of the reality style documentary series, KPOP Boot Camp, which captures the K-Pop Boot Camp experience, and will be uploaded on The Academy’s official YouTube channel – check out The Academy’s 2023 KPOP Boot Camp Documentary on the agency’s official YouTube channel. ONLINE REGISTRATIONS & GLOBAL AUDITIONS

Please note that applicants cannot audition for The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp, until an online registration form has been completely filled out and has been successfully submitted, along with submitting the required payment of $60 AUD before the set deadlines. Online registrations, for those interested in participating in online auditions, will remain open until June 09, 2024 at 23:59 (AEST). For those interested in participating in a live audition, online registrations must be filled out at least one day prior to the live audition taking place, which will be based on each respective city's live audition date and set times. Online registrations can be filled out on The Academy’s official website: https://www.the-academy.training/2024registration.


The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp is accepting applicants who are 11 years of age and older. Applicants who are minors will need parental consent in order to submit an online audition or to participate in a live audition. Both the live and online auditions will be based on auditionees showcasing their dance and/or vocal skills with 1 minute maximum to showcase each skill. Showcasing vocal skills are optional, but any song can be used in the audition, as well as any style of choreography. For applicants interested in participating in online auditions, there are other specific requirements to meet including filming a video horizontally and in a brightly lit location, filming a self introduction video, filming a dance routine with the camera capturing the applicant’s full body, and uploading the video to the Google Drive or Dropbox with the subject “(Full Name) 2024 Boot Camp Audition.” For additional tutorials and examples, the specific audition steps and 2023 Audition Video Playlist are provided by The Academy. Additional information about live auditions, as well as requirements for online auditions, can be found on The Academy’s official website: https://www.the-academy.training/audition-and-registration.

POST AUDITION PROCESS & AUDITION AWARDS

Upon the conclusion of both live and online auditions, the audition judges will review all applications to determine the Top 100 trainees, who will join The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp. The Top 100 results will be released on July 08, 2024 (AEST). For the Top 100 trainees, who are chosen to participate in The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp, will be given a “Letter of Offer” with instructions to claim their spot in the 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp. Confirmed trainees will remain in the Facebook Group, as well as receive tools, resources, and a payment schedule to help prepare for the 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp.


In addition, there will be “Audition Awards” given out to outstanding candidates at the conclusion of the live and online auditions. The Academy understands the efforts required of auditionees, and they want to recognize those efforts by awarding auditionees who did well with sponsorships. All auditionees who officially registered and paid the $60 AUD fee, are qualified to enter this awards program. The auditions will be ranked with scores by partnered agencies, as well as vocal and dance trainers. The Top Auditionee will receive a $300.00 AUD Boot Camp fee sponsorship, the Top Vocal Auditionee will receive a $100.00 AUD Boot Camp fee sponsorship, and the Top Dance Auditionee will receive a $100.00 AUD Boot Camp fee sponsorship. Each auditionee can win multiple awards based on their scores, and each Boot Camp fee sponsorship will be deducted from the final payment of the auditionee’s The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp fees. More information about The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp can be found on The Academy’s official website: https://www.the-academy.training/2024bc.
