On May 14 the band 2Z released their 5th single "CrossRoad" media showcase to commemorate the release of their fifth single,
"CrossRoad," is an album that conveys 2Z’s heart that wants to convey the hope and comfort that must be felt in life. It contains two tracks, the title song ‘CrossRoad’ and the track ‘Luv Affair’.
The title song of this work is 'CrossRoad'. It literally means ‘crossroads.’ As we live our lives, we make decisions at countless ‘crossroads’ every day, and those decisions shape ‘me.’ Unfortunately, South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world. Decisions made at ‘crossroads’ are leading to bad results. In addition, there are invisible hands within those decisions. Perhaps the ‘collective violence’ caused by those hands is brazenly inciting this painful conclusion.‘CrossRoad’ demands a little comfort and absolute hope from those who are about to choose the painful conclusion. 2Z wants to absolutely confront ‘collective violence’ through this song. In 2024, the Ministry of Health and Welfare unified the ‘Suicide Prevention Counseling Centers’ that were divided into several into ‘109.’ This means ‘let’s save even one person from committing suicide.’ 2Z sends infinite support to this meaning and hopes that ‘CrossRoad’ will become a small language of hope.<Falling has wings.>Youth has the right to make mistakes. We should not be ‘witch-hunted’ because of that one mistake, and no one has the right to criticize them. God has given each of us the great gift of ‘the universe’, and we must live within the boundaries of our universe with the beautiful responsibility of ‘consideration’ for the community and ‘respect’ for others. We each have the freedom to dream of soaring high, and sometimes we may stumble or fall out of line on that journey. What we need at that time is perhaps the obvious word ‘hope’. However, those who have that obvious word ‘hope’ deeply embedded in their hearts will be able to boldly pull out this card at the ‘crossroads’ of crisis. Perhaps we each have ‘wings called hope.’ 2Z, the ‘children who sing hope’, want to tell us through this album "CrossRoad" that we have those wings.
