[Concert Review] Kang Daniel Brings an Electric Shock to the Hearts of FLOWD for [ACT] Tour in Hamburg

Kang Daniel made a triumphant return to Europe with his 2025 KANGDANIEL ACT TOUR, captivating fans across four cities—London, Paris, Hamburg, and Warsaw—marking his first European tour in two years. On May 11, the Grosse Freiheit venue in Hamburg buzzed with anticipation as fans eagerly awaited the K-pop superstar’s dynamic performance.

Dressed in a sleek, sparkly black suit, Kang Daniel kicked off the night with "Losing Myself," a guitar-heavy track that immediately set the tone for an electrifying show. Backed by four skilled dancers, he commanded the stage with effortless charisma.

After the first three songs, Daniel broke to greet his fans and conveyed that it was his first time in Hamburg. He asked the crowd who had traveled from somewhere else to be at the concert. Daniel commented on his own journey, 

"Korea is quite far from here, like 13 hours, but I adapted. But I was worried about how the response would be. To see how much you're really enjoying the stage and performance makes me feel relieved. Please feel free to shout out whenever you want. If you feel like singing or dancing, just go for it!"

The concert showcased Kang Daniel’s versatile discography, blending high-energy anthems with emotive ballads. Fan favorites like "Paranoia," "Wasteland," and "Antidote" had the crowd singing along, while "Runaway" and "Get Loose" kept the energy soaring.

The setlist also included tracks like "TOUCHIN’," "Supernova", "Flash," and "Jealous," as well as newer hits such as "Electric Shock" and "Mess," ensuring there is something for every FLOWD (his fandom). He said that a lot of the songs performed were rearranged and only could be heard right here. 

Beyond the impressive choreography and production, Kang Daniel’s genuine interactions with the audience stood out. His playful smiles, anecdotes, and heartfelt speeches between songs created an intimate atmosphere, making the large venue feel personal. He said that he loved the weather, and a fan playfully said, "You can live with me!" to which he responded, "Will you rent to me?"

During "Come Back to Me" and "Nirvana," his emotive vocals resonated deeply, showcasing his growth as both a singer and performer. The night reached its peak with "RE8EL (Korean ver.)" and "Flash", leaving the crowd exhilarated. The encore stage included the songs "9 Lives" and finished the concert with "The Story" as the fans sang it back to Daniel. 

Kang Daniel’s Hamburg concert was a display of his artistry and stage mastery. From explosive dance breaks to tender vocal moments, he delivered a well-rounded performance that left fans in awe. 

The concert felt like sunny skies mirroring the bright energy inside the venue, the 2025 KANGDANIEL ACT TOUR proved once again why he’s a global star—one who knows how to make every city feel like home.
