JO1 Achieves Highest Record in U.S. Radio Chart with 'BE CLASSIC'

JO1
has reached a major milestone, as their English version of “BE CLASSIC” becomes the highest-debuting and highest-charting song from a male Japanese idol group, reaching #34 on the Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart. Mediabase is a comprehensive database that provides in-depth analysis and charts within the music industry.

To celebrate their fifth anniversary since debuting, JO1 released a "Best Of" album, which includes the original version of "BE CLASSIC," a track that samples Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. The song has seen remarkable success, ranking first on Billboard Japan’s Download Songs and Hot Shot Songs as of April 2, and reaching #1 in daily sales on Japan's Orion chart upon its release.

The music video for "BE CLASSIC" has generated substantial attention, amassing over 27 million views since its debut. An English version was also released on April 28.

Recently, JO1 made history as the first Japanese idol group to represent their culture by performing as the headline act during Dodger’s Heritage Night. They contributed $50,000 from their campaign “WHENEVER WE ARE,” which raised funds alongside their fans to make meaningful contributions to communities in need.

In addition to these accomplishments, JO1 became the first Japanese group to perform for GLOBAL SPIN LIVE at The Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles. "GLOBAL SPIN LIVE" is an initiative that showcases global artists, organized by the Grammy Awards, the world’s most prestigious music award show.

JO1 has exciting plans as they aim to further establish their presence in the global market.
