Red Velvet’s IRENE & SEULGI have teamed up for a new collaborative project. “TILT”, the duo's second mini album, is out now via SM Entertainment. Listen HERE.
Hailing from one of the planet’s most popular and critically-lauded K-pop girl groups of the past decade, Red Velvet, this unit showcases an intoxicating performance style that tells a story of its own. “TILT” is IRENE & SEULGI’s first release since 2020’s “Monster”, which was a Platinum-selling hit album in South Korea, reaching Top 5 on Billboard’s World Album Chart.
“TILT” is a sophisticated six-track collection of R&B and pop, hemmed by the pair’s effortlessly poised vocals and a powerful message about breaking away from conventional perspectives.
The title track ‘TILT’ is an addictive dance-pop song with shadowy R&B grooves and powerful electronic beats, co-produced by Cutfather (Kylie Minogue, TAEYEON). The lyrics depict a relationship not defined by a win-or-lose competition but one where both sides grow together by finding their own balance – a central theme that runs throughout the album.

‘What’s Your Problem?’ – featuring JULIE of KISS OF LIFE – is a 90s R&B infused track that hears IRENE & SEULGI confidently confront someone who judges them by their standards. ‘Irresistible’ is yet another R&B pop gem on the album, expressing the pair’s individuality through bold and playful lyrics. The confident characters in the album’s storytelling continue with ‘Girl Next Door’, co-written and co-produced by renowned K-pop hitmakers KENZIE and Moonshine. Over lively drums and powerful soaring vocals, the pop track paints the picture of a regular girl next door who marches to the beat of her own drum. Elsewhere, ‘Trampoline’ stands out with its rich yet haunting soundscape, while the dreamy groove of ‘Heaven’ brings the album to a close with IRENE & SEULGI’s atmospheric vocals leaving a lasting impression.
IRENE & SEULGI – along with their fellow Red Velvet member JOY – return to the UK to perform at SMTOWN Live in London at Allianz Twickenham Stadium on 28 June. The epic stadium concert, in celebration of SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary, also features over a dozen other K-pop stars including NCT 127, NCT DREAM, aespa, RIIZE and more.
