Rising K-pop Star Hwina Selected as Artist for MUSE ON 2025 After Beating out 400:1 Competition

 

Hwina, a new female singer-songwriter affiliated with Bace Camp Studio, has been selected as the final artist for after overcoming a 400:1 competition rate.


MUSE ON is a representative musician development project in South Korea hosted by KOCCA, an agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The program selects new musicians with outstanding musical talent and growth potential and provides comprehensive support, including music production, album production, performances, and promotion and marketing.


Having previously produced promising musicians such as SURL, Nerd Connection, So Soo Bin, OurR, and Meaningful Stone, <MUSE ON> has garnered industry attention. This year, through the 2025 season, MUSE ON has newly selected Hwina, signaling the potential birth of another K-pop star.


Hwina is a singer-songwriter and producer who spans a wide range of genres, including pop, R&B, and synth-pop. She has already demonstrated her exceptional talent and musicality, being selected as the representative artist in RBW's indie musician discovery project, which also includes artists like MAMAMOO and ONEUS. She has already garnered significant attention from both domestic and international music fans.


A representative from her agency stated,


“Starting with Hwina's new album, which will be released in the second half of this year, she will be actively participating in numerous live performances, TV appearances, and overseas promotions through <MUSE ON>. We ask for your continued interest and support.”
