d4vd & Hyunjin (Stray Kids) Create Emotional Magic with their Single 'Always Love' Out Now

It’s the collaboration that many had hoped for and waited for; well, that day has finally come. Houston native d4vd has released Always Love, featuring Hyunjin (Stray Kids). The track plays out like a love story unfolding a tale weaving through the desires, aspirations, and conclusions that come from such dilemmas of the heart.

Those desires appear during Hyunjin’s verses, the one thing many who’ve navigated relationships ultimately want. As he beautifully sings out an almost vulnerable confession, “All my life, I tried to find someone that won't make me lose my mind. So tell me if it's now or never, because with you I see forever. I think you could make me better.” Known more for his prowess as a rapper, he shows his vocal abilities as a singer – impressive, controlled, and something I’m sure fans would love to hear more of.

Pairing Hyunjin's vocals with d4vd's signature dreamy vocals results in a track that perhaps is the most accurate depiction of the emotional tug of war that comes with modern-day love. Always Love is easy on the ears, a nice delicate song that, while navigating emotional nuance, is still immersive, accompanied by soft guitar melodies and a summery vibe; it allows the lyrics and emotional depth to breathe and resonate with listeners.

It's a feature that many had been speculating about for some time, with both artists speaking highly of one another, fans of each other, if you will. It started way back when Hyunjin first mentioned d4vd in a Teen Vogue interview, and then, in turn, d4vd spoke highly about Hyunjin in a local Korean radio interview. Since then, the pair have continued to grow an online mutual friendship, continuously showing one another support through promoting each other's music on social media and publicly mentioning aspirations of working together.

Now that the dream collaboration has been brought to life, it’s clear that their artistic chemistry is more than just mutual respect for its pure magic. It shows that when two artists from different worlds unite, it all comes down to a shared love for music and a clear vision. It’s the kind of song that stays with you, gentle yet powerful and deep. Let's hope this is the beginning of many more collaborations between the pair.

Always Love is out now on all available streaming platforms.
