Rising indie singer-songwriter Hannah Bahng has announced the upcoming release of her new single, Sweet Satin Boy, set to drop on July 11th via her independent label, Bahng Entertainment. Co-written, composed, and produced by Hannah alongside long-time collaborator Andrew Luce (known for work with iann dior, Role Model, and Lil Nas X), the track is a vulnerable exploration of the emotional struggle in holding onto a relationship you know is already slipping away.
The official music video, also debuting on July 11th, was directed and produced by Hannah herself—showing that more artists are taking their own creative ideas and ventures into their own hands.

First previewed during her set at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase at SXSW and throughout her spring Abysmal Tour across Europe, Sweet Satin Boy is already generating buzz online. In a recent Instagram post, Hannah unveiled the cover art, declaring it Sweet Satin Boy summer. The dreamy image features her seated thoughtfully in a sun-drenched flower field, looking calm yet introspective.
She also teased a small snippet of the track, and although short and sweet, it showcased her gorgeous vocals and a vibe that could give Lana Del Rey a run for her money. Her social media platforms have racked up over 1.3 million views across Instagram and TikTok, building momentum ahead of the release. Fans flooded the comments with excitement, with many exclaiming “We’re so back” and “We are so ready.”
The single follows her introspective January 2025 release, what never lived, a haunting meditation on grieving a love that never fully existed. It also builds on the success of her debut project, The Abysmal EP (released May 2024), a seven-track collection delving into themes of identity and the end of adolescence. Blending elements of alternative, R&B, and progressive pop, the EP has amassed nearly 40 million Spotify streams, cementing Hannah's status as a genre-defying artist whose deeply personal sound continues to resonate with her fans and critics alike.
That’s not all. Hannah will also be touring with Houston singer d4vd for his tour dates in Australia this December. For his tour dates and tickets, be sure to check them out here
