LINE FRIENDS and G-DRAGON Unveil New Character IP ‘ZO&FRIENDS’ — A Fairy Tale-Like IP Embodying G-DRAGON’s Identity


LINE FRIENDS (corporately known as IPX), has officially unveiled its new character IP ‘ZO&FRIENDS’, created in collaboration with artist G-DRAGON, who is represented by Galaxy Corporation, an AI entertainment tech company.

This partnership merges the creative capabilities of LINE FRIENDS—a leader in global IP business—with the cultural influence of G-DRAGON, a pioneering artist in music and fashion. Together, they aim to deliver a new, emotionally resonant character IP experience to fans around the world.


‘ZO&FRIENDS’ draws inspiration from G-DRAGON’s personal life and symbols. The main character, ZOA, is based on his pet cat, while A&NE is inspired by the daisy—his symbolic motif. These characters reflect G-DRAGON’s unique style and are brought to life with the storytelling expertise of LINE FRIENDS. The name ‘ZO&FRIENDS’ also plays on the Korean word for “good friends,” symbolizing the relationship between ZOA and A&NE while conveying warmth and originality.


Born from the clouds and always moving in slow motion, ZOA is a cool yet warm-hearted cloud-cat, and A&NE is a lovable fashionista daisy. From ZOA’s colorful paw prints were born the mischievous color drops, AKI and ZAKI. Together, they embody the artist’s intention to convey healing and comfort. ZO&FRIENDS’ story is an enchanting journey of imperfect yet perfect friends, delivering a magical experience filled with artistry.


‘ZO&FRIENDS’ introduces a fairy-tale aesthetic that reflects G-DRAGON’s emotional depth and creativity. It is designed to provide comfort and spark imagination, offering a fresh and relatable experience for global audiences.

The IP has been in development for nearly two years. G-DRAGON played an active role in every phase—from naming characters and designing the logo to building the story and planning the pop-up store. His deep involvement highlights the authenticity and passion behind this project. To mark the launch, LINE FRIENDS will open a ‘ZO&FRIENDS’ pop-up store this summer, with plans to roll out the IP globally in phases.


LINE FRIENDS has maintained a close partnership with G-DRAGON through its diverse IP business. In December 2024, the two partnered on a successful project featuring LINE FRIENDS’ keyring brand MONAMHEE and G-DRAGON’s fashion label PEACEMINUSONE, launching a collaborative keyring collection through the “PMO X MONAMHEE Pop-Up” at LINE FRIENDS SQUARE Myeongdong.
