After a period of anticipation, Queenz Eye has officially returned to the music scene with a fresh lineup and renewed energy. The six-member group — Won Chae, Ah Yoon, Kiirii, Seo Vin, Jin Yul, and Seo Ha — released their first mini album "PRISM EP.01" on August 7, making a sparkling summer comeback.
Marking a new chapter for the group, the three-track mini album includes the title song 'Feel the Vibe' alongside 'ACHA!' and 'TRIPPIN'.' The title track blends retro synth basslines with rhythmic elements characteristic of the synth-funk genre, delivering a hopeful and refreshing message that invites listeners to embark on this new beginning with Queenz Eye.

The album's B-sides further showcase the group's versatile sound. "ACHA!" captivates with its addictive, breezy post-chorus melody and summer-themed lyrics, radiating an energetic vibe perfect for the season. "TRIPPIN'" explores easy-listening hip-hop and R&B, with member Ah Yoon taking part in both composition and lyric writing, highlighting her artistry. Through this track, the group uses the metaphor of love to convey a determination to leave struggles behind and move toward new horizons, offering a message of comfort to fans.
The album title 'PRISM EP.01' carries deep significance for the group's evolution. Just as light passing through a prism reveals a spectrum of beautiful colors, Queenz Eye aims to showcase their diverse musical palette and individual charms through this release. With four new members making their debut alongside returning members Won Chae and Ah Yoon, the group brings together different backgrounds and experiences that create a richer, more dynamic sound.
Now embarking on a fresh start as a six-member team, Queenz Eye is greeting listeners with 'PRISM EP.01', a summer-perfect mini-album brimming with cool, vibrant energy. Their comeback brings a refreshing vibe to the season's music scene, heightening anticipation for what lies ahead for Queenz Eye. We spoke with the members to discuss their new beginning, their creative process, and their hopes for the future.
How does it feel to be presenting yourselves as Queenz Eye with this new formation?
Won Chae: We're back as a more vivid, energetic, and stronger Queenz Eye! I'm so happy and grateful to be able to come back these days. For our four new members, this album is their debut, and they're such sweet and lovely people. I hope many will grow to love them. This album is precious to all of us, and we prepared so hard that we feel confident, and I somehow have a really good feeling about it. We're filled with excitement thinking about showing it to everyone. Please give us lots of love!
Ah Yoon: My first thought was, "Finally, it's out!" I also felt relieved, and I'm really looking forward to the days I'll be spending with the members from here on. There are endless sides we'll be able to show with our new members, so I'm really excited.
Kiirii: I'm so thrilled and happy to become part of Queenz Eye with this new lineup. I hope Queenz Eye shines bright and becomes loved by people all around the world.
Seo Vin: It feels like we're starting a new journey together. Just like setting out on a trip, my excitement and anticipation are huge. Even if the road feels a little unfamiliar, I'm certain that with these members, we'll fill every situation with happy moments. That's why this excitement feels even bigger right now.
Jin Yul: I feel so proud, honored, and thrilled to be revealed as a member of Queenz Eye, where each of us brings different charms and colors that shine even brighter together!
Seo Ha: Since I'm a new member and it's also a comeback, I had more worries than excitement, wondering if I might become a burden compared to the members' skills. Being among the members, who each already have some experience, I just want to always work hard and show the cool side of Queenz Eye.
What was your first impression of each other?
Won Chae: Kiirii was really quiet, and Seo Ha seemed like a shy baby. Jin Yul's neat way of dancing was cute, and with Seo Vin, I remember when she came to audition; we didn't even know who each other was, but we had a small talk! That's why I thought her personality might be really similar to mine. As for Ah Yoon, when I first met her, she already knew me, so I thought she must know a lot about me. That made me feel a little scared but also a little glad!
Ah Yoon: When I first saw the members, everyone seemed very shy, so it was a little hard to approach them, and it took some time to get close. I thought all five of them would be quiet, but my guess was wrong. Everyone actually has an energetic personality and is lively, so sometimes it's a little hard to keep up when we're together, but still, it's fun.

Seo Vin: When I met the members one by one, their first impressions were all very distinct. The unnies definitely had the aura of sunbaes, and with Jin Yul, it felt nice to meet her again. Seo Ha was really cute, like the maknae. I remember how shyly she walked into the dance hall. Kiirii, at first, greeted me more quietly and calmly than anyone else.
Jin Yul: First, when I met Won Chae unnie and Ah Yoon unnie, I could sense a strong sunbae presence from them. They kindly and warmly took care of me, but when we matched our dances together, I thought they were really charismatic and cool. When I first met Seo Vin at Universe Ticket, we didn't talk much, but she gave off the feeling of being a really bright person, so I remember wanting to get close to her! As for Seo Ha and Kiirii, their first impressions were similar; both were very shy, reserved, and quiet at first, but once we became closer, I realized they're playful, cute, and have bright charms!
Seo Ha: First of all, Won Chae unnie and Seo Vin unnie approached me with bright energy from the very beginning, which I really liked. Jin Yul unnie was the one who quietly came up and talked to me from behind when I was still very shy in the beginning. And Ah Yoon unnie, before we had a conversation, seemed like a chic cat. Lastly, I saw Kiirii unnie running on the treadmill, and she looked cute but cool.
The album is titled 'PRISM EP.01' - can you explain the significance behind this name and how it represents your music?
Won Chae: When light passes through a prism, you can see many beautiful and colorful shades! Like a prism, this album carries the meaning that we want to show our diverse colors, images, and music from now on. And since this is our very first mini album, 'PRISM EP.01' contains stories about new beginnings. It's filled with refreshing tracks that capture our determination, excitement, and energetic vibes as we start this journey. Through this album, I believe you'll be able to see a more colorful and fresh side of Queenz Eye!
Out of the three tracks on this EP: "Feel the Vibe," "ACHA!" and "TRIPPIN'." Can you describe how each song showcases different sides of Queenz Eye?
Ah Yoon: "Feel the Vibe" is a synth-funk track with a retro atmosphere that really lets us bring out more variety in our powerful performances, so you can see a cooler side of Queenz Eye. "ACHA!" is a summer anthem with lyrics that remind you of the refreshing ocean, where you can feel our bright and bubbly charms. Lastly, "TRIPPIN'," which I wrote and composed, is an easy-listening R&B hip-hop track that allows you to fully experience the unique tones of all six of us. Through these three songs, you'll be able to discover the different charms of Queenz Eye.
What do you hope listeners will feel when they experience the album?
Seo Vin: I hope our excitement and energy are delivered just as they are. Since this is a new beginning, we prepared this album with hearts full of anticipation and passion. We put our sincerity into every moment, so I truly hope that feeling comes across.
Jin Yul: This album contains stories about our dreams, excitement, and growth. I hope that when people listen to it, they can recall their memories and emotions, find comfort and empathy during difficult times, and feel even greater joy during happy moments.
Was there a memorable moment filming the music video?
Kiirii: The party scene! It was really pretty, with amazing lighting, and I had so much fun filming it.
Seo Ha: For me, there was a scene where I walked along and sat on a stone wall by the beach with the other members, just chatting together. At that moment, the sun was setting, and with the atmosphere, the weather, and the members all coming together, it felt so nice and relaxing.
Who is the fashionista of the group? Who would you want to be your stylist for a week?
Ah Yoon: I think Seo Vin is the one who dresses the best. She honestly buys a lot of clothes, but she always manages to find really pretty ones. Sometimes I look at her and think she's amazing. I think she has the best sense when it comes to fashion.
Kiirii: Seo Vin! She dresses really well, and I actually like to borrow her clothes sometimes.
Won Chae: Since I was young, I loved making people smile, being on stage, and dancing, so I naturally began to dream of becoming an idol. The person who influenced me was Girls' Generation sunbaenim! When I was a kid, they were the MCs of a music show, and I remember watching it every weekend. Growing up with that, I naturally thought, "Ah, this is the job I want to have," and that's when I made up my mind.
Jin Yul: For me, it was the friends I sang and danced with when I was little who influenced me the most! They showed me how much more fun it is when you share the things you love, such as singing and dancing, together!
What are your goals for this year?
Seo Vin: My biggest goal this year is to win first place on a music show. I hope more people listen to our songs and find strength and joy through them.
Seo Ha: My goal this year is also to win first place on a music show with the members. I'm just waiting for the day when we can give our acceptance speech together.
What message do you have for the fans who are waiting for you?
Won Chae: Hello, this is Won Chae! I want to sincerely thank I-Q for waiting for us, and also for being with us in this new beginning. I hope to repay your patience with performances and music that truly live up to it! Thank you, as always, for your support. I promise to remain an artist who stays by your side for a long time, creating music with sincerity and consistency. Please continue to show us your love and support.
Ah Yoon: To our fans who have waited for such a long time, I truly want to thank you for your patience, and I look forward to seeing you more often from now on. Because this album is something we all poured our hearts and hard work into, I want to carry out our promotions with no regrets and in a way that makes you proud. From here on, let's embark on a new chapter together with Queenz Eye!

Jin Yul: The fans who have supported us and waited for us are truly the greatest source of strength and meaning in this long and difficult journey toward our dream. Because of you, even when we stumble, we can stand back up, and now we're able to reach a dream that once felt so far away. We will never forget this warmth and gratitude for the rest of our lives, and we hope to repay it by bringing comfort and joy to many more people!
