i-dle Makes History at Los Angeles Angels Game: First Performers to Light Up Pregame and Throw First Pitch

On August 4th, i-dle becomes the first-ever pregame performer in Los Angeles Angels home game history, including a flawless first pitch. i-dle was honored to throw the first MLB pitch and light up the Angels’ game with a celebratory performance.

The group attended the game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Invited in celebration of Korean Heritage Night, i-dle captivated local baseball fans with a pregame performance and ceremonial first pitch.

Before the game, i-dle energized the crowd with a standout pregame performance, setting a vibrant tone for the stadium. Each member appeared in custom Los Angeles Angels uniforms reflecting their unique personalities, performing ‘TOMBOY,’ ‘Wife,’ and ‘Queencard,’ drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience. This marked a milestone: the first time a musical artist performed their songs during a pregame show at a Los Angeles Angels home game.

Additionally, i-dle shared meaningful moments with Angels star players Mike Trout and Zach Neto, legendary Korean MLB pitcher Byung-hyun Kim, and former KBO standout pitcher Dustin Nippert.

Later, YUQI stepped onto the mound to cheers from her members and delivered a powerful, flawless first pitch, energizing the stadium for the home team, the Angels. She commented,

“It’s such an honor to throw my first pitch in the MLB. Thanks to Mr. Byung-hyun Kim’s great coaching, I was able to do it well. Performing with my members made this experience even more meaningful and fulfilling.”

That day, the Los Angeles Angels pulled off a come-from-behind win against the Tampa Bay Rays, with i-dle leaving their mark as true 'goddesses of victory' — this time in the US.

Meanwhile, after showing their status as a leading K-pop group at KCON LA 2025 on August 2 and 3, i-dle is set to perform at ALL THE K-POP STAGE in Macau, held at The Venetian Arena, on August 9.
