On August 20 singer-songwriter JUNNY releases his full-length album null. The album unfolds like a film or a play, capturing the rise, collapse, and recovery of one person’s emotions. From the moment swept up in burning passion, to nights haunted by irreparable wounds, and finally, the lingering traces of a farewell— every moment of loving, fighting, and regretting is portrayed as an emotional epic.
Rooted in R&B, the album effortlessly weaves through various genres, expanding sonically in line with the nuances of emotion. More than just songs about love and heartbreak, this album deepens both emotionally and musically— a record of emotional growth, charting how one heart breaks, hesitates, and ultimately begins again.
The title track “Energy” captures the moment when intense attraction gradually transforms into certainty. Laid over a groovy beat, its direct lyrics trace the emotional current of falling for someone and boldly turning that energy into love.

Another title track, “SOUR”, depicts the tension of a relationship where emotions are constantly being tested — a push and pull that brews just beneath the surface. With its funky bassline and slick rhythm, the song explores the raw, chaotic energy of desire, pride, and attraction all tangled together — a sensual night painted in heat and cool detachment.
The album begins with “No Morning”, which is actually the final point of the story — opening the album with the theme of emptiness. It then travels through the spark of new love in “Passion, Pain & Pleasure”, “SOUR”, and “Energy”, slowly dissolving into emotional collapse with “Sweet Release”, “limbo”, and “DANGEROUS”.
Following a brief interlude, the story transitions into the aftertaste of loss and regret in “residue”, followed by the first attempt at a rhapsodic form in “Weight of Time”, and finally reaches a quiet closure in “Next To Me”, where one calmly confronts the last remaining feelings.
This album invites listeners to follow the emotional tides that rise and fall within a single person — to journey through the beginning and end of love, and ultimately, face the version of oneself that remains beyond it.
With its balance of emotional depth and musical experimentation, ‘null’ is a story of self-restoration, told through the emptiness of feeling — and the quiet strength of getting back up again.
