Red Velvet's Joy has released her first mini album "From JOY, with Love" on August 18.
This album marks Joy's first mini-album in approximately four years, following the release of her special album "Hello" in May 2021. It features six tracks, including the title track 'Love Splash!', that tell diverse love stories.
This album, in particular, explores a wide range of love-related themes, from the excitement of first love to longing for a past lover and comforting oneself, all with Joy's unique sensibility. It is expected to resonate deeply with listeners, evoking memories of their own.
The title track 'Love Splash!' is a summer song with a refreshing pop dance track with a harmonious blend of pounding bass, soft piano, and bell sounds. It vividly depicts the beginning of love against the backdrop of a cool summer seascape. The story of confessing one's true love to the one who stirs waves in one's heart like the calm sea, and ultimately falling head over heels in love, is enhanced by Joy's delicate vocals that express the thrill of the moment, further enhancing the song's refreshing energy.

Following this, the pop dance track 'Get Up And Dance,' featuring vibrant brass, claps, and powerful drum sounds, features lyrics expressing the desire to revel in the moment with a fateful encounter, coupled with Joy's bright and refreshing vocals. 'La Vie En Bleu,' a French-inspired pop track, portrays a lonely yet romantic reminiscing about a past lover, portrayed with Joy's signature endearing charm.
The waltz-based pop ballad 'Unwritten Page' features lyrics that convey a message of comfort to oneself, leaving a gentle yet profound resonance. Joy's fresh and youthful vocals shine through in the pop song 'Scent of Green,' a song that cherishes all our moments as shining memories, like a letter to a loved one from back then.
The final track, 'Cuddle,' is a medium-tempo ballad that focuses solely on Joy's vocals over a calm piano accompaniment. It conveys the warmth and gratitude felt in the arms of a loved one, warmly embellishing the album.
