Back when all we had was a dream and a transit card, the whole world felt like ours. Even when our masks made us gasp for breath, when we practiced until dawn, and when we repeated the same routine every day, we never felt bored. In fact, we believed every moment would last forever. But now we know. There's no eternity in this world, just precarious days piling up like rings. Our inner fears and anxieties create invisible "lines," and those lines ultimately become walls that imprison us.Our story begins right there. This album, "As I am," is a journey to discover our true selves by focusing on the "process" rather than being confined by the world's established "results." It's an honest record of the times and emotions we've faced, cried, laughed, and endured.While preparing "As I am," we each confronted the inner lines we'd drawn. And recalling our past hesitation, unable to cross that line, we decided to hold each other's hands once again and move forward. The strength to walk toward the light even in the darkness, the will to move forward without losing ourselves, and the most honest and natural "me" discovered within. This album calmly unravels those moments.No matter the situation, as long as we have faith in ourselves, the courage to overcome our inner fears, and cross the established "line," we can find our way to each other even in the pitch-black darkness. If we don't lose ourselves, we become "us," and we can take a new step forward under the name of "us." And so, with courage, we cross the "line" once again.Thus, ultimately, "As I am" is the story of all of us. If there's anyone who feels trapped by lines and walls, unable to take even a single step forward, I want to tell them that there's another world waiting beyond, a world so firm and solid that it's okay to walk on it. "As I am" is a record of faith in "me" and courage for "us," and at the same time, a letter of comfort to all.
The title track, 'In The Dark,' is a song for those who move forward, step by step, despite endless inner turmoil and fear. The lyrics, which capture the members' personal stories, are impressive. At the end of a tiring day, the fragmented emotions, like scattered shards, are cast aside in the sunset, and comfort is shared by leaning on each other.
