After eight months, ONE PACT is back with their latest EP “1’ONLY.” This release marks a first for the group as it’s their first official EP, showcasing five tracks. Each with their own unique style and sound, TAG participated in both the lyrics and production during this comeback. Although they were promoted as a four-member group, fifth member Jay Chang was not able to participate due to scheduling conflicts.
Track 1: O-P
“O-P” serves as the opening track, as it sets the tone for who ONE PACT is. As they reference years after their debut, they are sharing that their high ambitions and goals are what’s going to push them to become “O-P,” otherwise known as ONE PACT. It serves as an intense introduction that brings an underground vibe and allows them to open the album with no regrets.
Track 2: Sane
“Sane” is the title track of the EP, which shares the message of being oneself even when others are watching. The lyrics represent that they remain who they are even when on stage and aren’t going to be confined to one image. Following their introduction track, they continue to bring that intense style, creating a more dynamic vibe that accompanies the music video. With sharp and quick movements, ONE PACT is sharing that being sane is also being insane.
Track 3: Pull Up
“Pull Up” is a mix of an upbeat and laid-back track. With a message about waiting for someone to come over, it brings a fresh vibe to the EP. The chorus also quickly catches the listener’s attention as its easy-going vibe allows the listener to keep this song on repeat.
Track 4: DO U FXXKING LOVE ME TOO
“DO U FXXKING LOVE ME TOO” is the fourth track, showing a softer side to the EP but keeping those little intense moments. This song tells the story of questioning if the one you love and give your all to loves you. The chorus is them asking the question and wanting a truthful response. Towards the end, one line especially stands out during the bridge “ 정답을 아는데” which translates to “I know the answer.” Allowing for some kind of answer, they were waiting for.
Track 5: Vampire
“Vampire” is a special track as it is a unit track composed of Jongwoo, Seongmin, and Yedam. With an electric-dance sound and dark vibe, this song is about making someone yours. As these members are vampires who will do anything to keep their love with them forever.
