JEHYUN of OMEGA X has released his first solo single "ironic" on October 22.
"ironic," sings of the irony of emotions heading in the opposite direction to what reason points to. It blends uncontrollable moments—where you are drawn in like a magnet the more you try to push someone away, and crave them the more you try to hate them—over a sensual R&B sound. Through JEHYUN's signature languid and charming vocals, he unfolds the flow of contradictory emotions: falling into a love you know will hurt you.
'Love and Hate' is an R&B track depicting a contradictory love where people endlessly crave each other despite knowing it will cause hurt, yet ultimately cannot break free. It captures the precarious emotion of sinking deeply into that love while willingly accepting even lies and pain. The softly flowing guitar sound blends with a heavy, deep bass to express emotions wavering at the boundary between love and hate in a rich and dreamy atmosphere.
The second track 'Natural' with lyrics by fellow OMEGA X member XEN is an R&B/Pop track that deals with a fatal attraction from which one falls inevitably the more one tries to resist. It sophisticatedly captures the instinctive emotional turmoil of accepting the other person with one's whole body, despite the mind warning one to push them away, through sensual grooves and dreamy vocal lines.
