[Week Roundup April 25 - May 1] LXX, Kim Kyu Jong and The Black Skirts

 


On April 30th, rapper LXX released his digital single "Not Fair." The English song expresses the relatable feeling of alienation from holding on to youth by living how you want, rather than "moving on" to fit stereotypical standards of how adults should live their lives. Singer Kim Kyu Jong (of SS501) has released the 6th single under his monthly remake song project. "Color Pencil" is a song that he enjoyed listening to for 16 years. It expresses illustrating for someone you are waiting for.

Indie rock musician The Black Skirts, has released a 6 track EP  'Good Luck to You, Girl Scout!' The album has all English tracks. The EP is described as; 

6 tiny bursts of sadness in the form of lo-fi indie pop and generously spiked with spite and jealousy. Inspired by my friends who got dumped last summer during the height of Corona Virus.
