Hello! This is LYSON. I'm greeting you with my first solo song, "Marigold." Since it's just the beginning, I'm going to show you a variety of music and various charms, so please look forward to it!
When did you become interested in music?
초등학생 때 가족들과 명절때마다 노래방을 갔었는데 그 때부터 노래에 흥미가 생기고,
mp3 player에 가수들의 노래를 다운로드 받아 들으면서 관심을 가졌습니다.
When I was in elementary school, I went to karaoke every holiday with my family. Since then, I have been interested in singing and downloading and listening to singers' songs on mp3 player.
How do you describe your style?
LYSON의 음악적 장르는
R&B 장르입니다. 청자분들이 제 노래를 들었을 때 편안함을 줄 수 있는 음악을 하는게 목표입니다.
LYSON's musical genre is R&B. My goal is to make music that will make listeners feel comfortable when they listen to my song.
Can you tell us about your single “Marigold”?
'Marigold'는 꽃의 이름이고
'행복은 반드시 찾아온다'라는 의미를 가지고 있습니다.
꽃말을 통해서 솔로가수로서 새 출발을 하는 제 자신의 소망을 이야기 하기도 했고,
이 곡을 듣는 많은 분들에게 사랑 혹은 행복을 찾는 노래 등 여러가지 의미로 해석이 될 수 있다고 생각합니다.
중요한 건,
이 곡을 듣고 많은 분들이
'행복은 반드시 여러분을 찾아온다'라는 희망의 메시지를 주고 싶었습니다.
'Marigold' is the name of the flower and means 'happiness always comes'. Through the flower language, I talked about my wish to start a new career as a solo singer, and I think it can be interpreted in many ways, such as finding love or happiness, to many people who listen to this song. The important thing is, after listening to this song, I wanted to give a message of hope that happiness will always come to you.
How does it feel debuting as a soloist?
그룹 활동 할 때보다 더 작은 부분 하나하나를 더 꼼꼼하게 체크하게 되었고,
솔로 아티스트로서 좋은 모습을 보여드리기 위해 설레는 마음으로 모든 일에 더욱 더 열심히 준비하고 있습니다.
I've been checking every little detail more than when I was in a group, and I'm working hard on everything with excitement to show you a good performance as a solo artist.
Is there any style you want to try in the future?
스타일적인 부분도 중요하지만,
시즌송을 만들고 싶다는 생각을 했습니다.
겨울이 되면 캐롤이 떠오르듯 어떤 계절에
LYSON의 음악이 떠오른다면 좋을 것 같다.
Style is important, but I thought I wanted to make a season
song.
It would be nice if LYSON's music comes to mind in a certain
season, just as carols come to mind in winter.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music?
축구를 좋아해서 가끔씩 친구들과 축구를 하면서 스트레스를 풀곤합니다.
I like soccer, so I sometimes relieve my stress by playing soccer with my friends.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start
music?
'음악의 길은 어렵고 미래를 예측하기 어렵지만 꾸준히 열심히 하다보면 빛을 볼 것이다.'
라고 저의 학창시절 선생님께서 이야기 해주신 것 처럼 나태해지지 않고 열심히하면 언젠가 빛을 볼 것이라 믿습니다.
저 역시 여러분들에게 희망을 잃지 않고 항상 열심히 임하는 자세가 중요하다고 말해주고 싶습니다.
"The path to music is difficult and it's hard to predict the future, but if you keep working hard, you'll see the light."
As my teacher told me in my school days, I believe that if I
work hard, I will see the light someday.
I also want to tell you that it's important to always work hard without losing hope.
