Is a Wanna One Reunion On the Cards for the Mnet Asian Music Awards?

It very well could be!

Earlier today, JTBC News reported that sources within the music industry had revealed plans of a Wanna One reunion.

The reunion, which could be planned to occur prior to the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, could see the group perform at the massive awards ceremony, have an album, and even a concert.

The reunion talks have been considered more seriously since the I.O.I reunion last May.

"Talks of a reunion always take place ahead of the award ceremony, but this year's discussions are more positive and enthusiastic."

Wanna One was a project group coming out from Mnet's second season of Produce 101. The group disbanded in December, 2018.

"Since I.O.I reunited last May, Wanna One's reunion may be possible now."

Following the group's disbandment, Minhyun returned to NU'EST, Daehwi and Woojin debuted in AB6IX, Jinyoung debuted in CIX, while members Ha Sung Woon, Yoon Ji Sung, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Jae Hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, and Lai Kuanlin, went on to debut in solo music careers.

Should the reunion occur, it would be Wanna One's first time coming together as a full group since their final concert back in January of 2019.
