The Artists With the Most Wins on "The Show"

Welcome to series 2 of these articles about the South Korean music shows. In the first series of articles, we covered the highest scoring wins on each of the shows, and in this second series, we'll be covering the artists with the most wins on each of the shows.

We begin with SBS MTV's "The Show", which is broadcast at 06:00 p.m. KST on Tuesday's from the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Here's a quick recap of how their current scoring system works:

  • Broadcast - 15% (1,500 points)
  • Digital - 40% (4,000 points)
  • Physical - 10% (1,000 points)
  • SNS - 20% (2,000 points)
  • Pre-vote - 5% (500 points)
  • Live vote - 10% (1,000 points)

In order to be eligible to win "The Show", artists must be present on the day and have performed.

Today, we take a look at the artists with the most wins on "The Show".

10th: Mamamoo (7 wins)

"I say mama, mama, mooo - Hello, we are Mamamoo!"

Mamamoo is the first entry to make this list, coming in at number ten on the list of the groups with the most music show wins on SBS MTV's "The Show".

These seven wins come from six different songs, including "You're The Best", "Decalcomanie", "Yes I Am", "Starry Night", "Egotistic", and "Gogobebe".

With seven of the group's 43 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 16.3% of all of Mamamoo's wins.

=6th: Oh My Girl (8 wins)

"Found you! Oh My Girl! Hello, we are OH MY GIRL!"

Oh My Girl is one of three groups who have tied for sixth place in this list of the top ten groups with the most music show wins on "The Show".

These eight wins come from six different songs, including "Secret Garden", "Remember Me", "The Fifth Season (SSFWL)", "Bungee (Fall In Love)", "Nonstop", and "Dun Dun Dance".

With eight of the group's 19 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 42.1% of all of Oh My Girl's wins.

=6th: Red Velvet (8 wins)

"Happiness! Hello, we are Red Velvet!"

Red Velvet is another group who has tied for sixth place in the list of groups with the most wins on "The Show".

These eight wins come from seven different songs, including "Ice Cream Cake", "Dumb Dumb", "One of These Nights", "Russian Roulette", "Rookie", "Red Flavor", and "Power Up".

With eight of the group's 80 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for one-tenth of all of Red Velvet's wins.

=6th: GOT7 (8 wins)

"Come and get it, GOT7! What's up, we are GOT7!"

GOT7 is also tied for sixth place in this list, achieving a total of eight wins on "The Show".

These eight wins come from five different songs, including "If You Do", "Fly", "Hard Carry", "Never Ever", and "Lullaby".

With eight of the group's 32 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for a quarter of all of GOT7's wins.

=6th: EXID (8 wins)

"Who's that girl? EXID! Hello, we are EXID!"

EXID is yet another artist tied for sixth place on this list of the ten groups with the most wins on "The Show", with a total of eight wins.

These eight wins come from six different songs, including "Up & Down", "Ah Yeah", "L.I.E.", "Night Rather Than Day", "DDD", and "Lady".

With eight of the group's 22 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 36.4% of all of EXID's wins.

=3rd: Apink (9 wins)

Apink is the first artist to tie for third place on this list of the K-pop groups with the most wins on "The Show", with a total of nine wins.

These nine wins come from five different songs, including "Luv", "Five", "I'm So Sick", "Dumhdurum", and "Dilemma".

With nine of the group's 53 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 17% of all of Apink's wins.

=3rd: Monsta X (9 wins)

"Hoo, MONSTA X. Hello, we are MONSTA X!"

Monsta X also comes in equal third of the groups with the most wins on "The Show", with a total of nine wins.

These nine wins come from eight different songs, including "Dramarama", "Jealousy", "Shoot Out", "Alligator", "Follow", "Fantasia", "Love Killa", and "Rush Hour".

With nine of the group's 20 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 45% of all of Monsta X's wins.

=3rd: Iz*One (9 wins)

"Eyes on me! The moment we become one, please pay attention everyone! Hello, we are IZ*ONE!"

Iz*One is another of the groups coming in at equal third on this list of the artists with the most wins on "The Show", with nine wins.

These nine wins come from five different songs, including "La Vie en Rose", "Violeta", "Fiesta", "Secret Story of the Swan", and "Panorama".

With nine of the group's 26 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 34.6% of all of Iz*One's wins.

2nd: VIXX (14 wins)

"Hello . . . Real V! V-I-X-X! We are VIXX!"

VIXX comes second on the list of the artist with the most wins on "The Show", with a total of 14.

These 14 wins come from eight different songs, including "Error", "Love Equation", "Chained Up", "Dynamite", "Fantasy", "The Closer", "Shangri-La", and "Scentist".

With 14 of the group's 30 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 46.7% of all of VIXX's wins.

1st: GFriend (16 wins)

GFriend tops the list of the artists with the most wins on "The Show", with a total of 16.

These 16 wins come from 11 different songs, including "Rough", "Navillera", "Fingertip", "Love Whisper", "Summer Rain", "Time for the Moon Night", "Sunrise", "Fever", "Crossroads", "Apple", and "Mago".

And with 16 of the group's 71 total music show wins, "The Show" accounts for 22.5% of all of GFriend's wins.
