[Exclusive Interview] BLITZERS on WIN-DOW, Memorable Moments with BLEE and Answering Fan Questions

BLITZERS (블리처스) is a seven-member boy group from WUZO Entertainment, whose members include JINHWA, GO_U, JUHAN, SYA, CHRIS, LUTAN, WOOJU. The group debuted in May 2021 and embarked on their first U.S. tour throughout February of this year.  BLITZERS have come back recently with their third EP [WIN-DOW] with the title song 'Hit The Bass' on July 20. 

The group always showcases the beauty of different countries through their art and social media. They also make great efforts to communicate with their fans worldwide. The music video for 'Hit The Bass' was filmed in Pakistan.

KpopWise was able to catch up with BLITZERS amid their busy comeback schedule for an interview about their latest album and answered some of BLEE's burning questions.

Hello BLIZTERS! Congratulations on your comeback. Can you tell us about your new song? 

The title track of our third EP ALBUM "WIN-DOW," "Hit The Bass," contains our ambition to steal the hearts of our fandom name, "BLEE." The song and music video have turned BLIZTERS into the main characters of the caper movie, and the BLITZERS are set to steal your heart.

우리의 세 번째 EP ALBUM 'WIN-DOW'의 타이틀 곡 'Hit The Bass'는 우리의 팬덤 이름인 'BLEE'의 마음을 다 훔쳐버리겠다는 포부를 담았다. 곡과 뮤비에서 케이퍼 무비의 주인공으로 변신하였고, 블리처스는 여러분의 마음을 훔칠 예정이다.

What was your favorite part of filming the MV?

JINHWA: I had a fantasy about a red sports car, and in this music video, there's a scene where a red sports car comes out, and I like that scene the most.

진화 : 빨간 스포츠카에 대한 로망이 있었는데 이번 뮤직비디오에서 빨간 스포츠카가 나오는 장면이 있고, 저는 그 장면을 가장 좋아합니다.

GO_U: My favorite is the group dance scene in the title song.

고유: 타이틀곡에서 단체군무하는 장면을 가장 좋아합니다.

JUHAN: I like taking pictures the most. In this music video, I'm holding a camera and that's my favorite scene.

주한 : 저는 원래 사진 찍는 것을 제일 좋아합니다. 이번 뮤직비디오에서도 저는 카메라를 들고나오는데 그 장면을 제일 좋아합니다.

SYA: We worked hard on the performance, so the group dance scene is the best.

샤 : 퍼포먼스를 열심히 준비해서 아무래도 군무 신이 제일 좋습니다.

CHRIS: My favorite part was dancing in-front of buses.

LUTAN: I like every part of it because it's shot in a nice background in Lahore, Pakistan.

루탄 : 파키스탄 라호르의 멋진 배경에서 촬영해서 저는 모든 부분이 다 좋습니다.

WOOJU: I like that part the most because I had fun filming the gravity scene with my member, 'SYA'.

우주: 저는 멤버인 '샤'와 그래비티 하는 장면을 촬영할 때 재밌게 해서 그 부분이 제일 좋습니다.

What was your first impression of the team members?

JINHWA: At first, it was awkward like friends from a transfer school. But we all got close quickly.

진화 : 처음에는 전학 온 학교의 친구들처럼 어색했습니다. 대신 다들 금방 친해졌습니다.

GO_U: I've known Jinhwa for a long time since we went to high school together, and Chris and Lutan were so nice from the start. Wooju was kind but had a bit clumsy image, and the image in Juhan was hard to grasp. I remember SYA being very shy at first.

고유: 진화는 고등학교를 같이 다녀 이전부터 알고 있었고, 크리스, 루탄은 첫인상부터가 너무 착한 이미지였습니다. 우주는 착하지만 약간 덜렁거리는 이미지였고, 주한은 쉽게 파악하기 힘든 이미지였습니다. 샤는 처음에는 낯을 많이 가린게 크게 기억이 남습니다.

JUHAN: All six of them looked innocent and nice.

주한 : 6명 모두 순진하고 착해 보였습니다.

SYA: I joined late, so the members looked scary.

샤 : 저는 늦게 합류해서 멤버들이 무서워 보였습니다.

CHRIS: They all looked nice.

LUTAN: The most memorable thing was Wooju, When I first saw Wooju he greeted me politely at 90 degrees.

루탄 : 유독 기억에 남는 게 우주입니다. 우주는 처음 봤을 때 90도로 깍듯하게 "안녕하세요!"라고 인사해 주었습니다.

WOOJU: Everyone had a bright image.

우주: 모두가 밝은 이미지였습니다.

What color would you describe yourself as? What color would represent blee?

JINHWA: Purple (a color mixed with passionate red and immature blue) / BLEE - Black (a color that can accommodate various colors of all members)

진화 : 진화 - 보라색(열정의 빨간색과 미성숙한 파란색이 섞인 색) / BLEE - 검은색(모든 멤버의 다양한 컬러를 포용할 수 있는 색)

GO_U: Sky blue (me and Blee are the same)

고유: 하늘색(나와 블리는 똑같습니다)

JUHAN: Gray / Blee - Red (red = heart)

주한 : 주한 - 회색 / 블리 - 빨간색(빨간색 = 하트)

SYA: Red (sometimes intense, sometimes pointy, color that can be interpreted in many ways) / BLEE - White (I think there will be more bleeds in the future to paint many colors)

샤 : 샤 - 빨간색(어떨 때는 강렬하고 어떨 때는 포인트가 되는 색, 여러 방면으로 해석이 되는 색) / BLEE - 흰색(앞으로 더 많은 블리가 되어 여러 가지 색을 칠할 수 있을 것이라고 생각해요)

CHRIS: I describe myself as gray. The color that represents Blee is a blue

LUTAN: YELLOW (Warm color, I'm a warm person who's friendly and likes people) / BLEE - WHITE (BLITZERS and BLEE are always sympathetic and communicating, and I think our relationship will change deeper and darker in the future. I think the color that can always change is white.)

루탄 : 루탄 - 노란색(따뜻한 색인데, 저는 정도 많고 사람을 좋아하는 따뜻한 사람입니다) / BLEE - 흰색(블리처스와 블리는 언제나 공감하고 소통하면서 앞으로 우리의 사이는 더 깊고 진하게 바뀔 수 있을 것이라고 생각해요. 언제나 바뀔 수 있는 색이 흰색이라고 생각합니다.)

WOOJU: I'm changing colors! (still growing) It's navy now / BLEE - Blue

GO_U: Everyone says it's themselves, but it's hard to choose, but I think it's SYA!

JUHAN: SYA, JINHWA

주한: 샤와 진화

SYA: Maybe SYA?

샤 : 아마도 샤?

CHRIS: No one. haha

LUTAN: SYA is very interested in clothes and he dresses well in his own style.

루탄 : 샤 형이 옷에 관심이 많고 자신의 스타일로 잘 입어요.

WOOJU: I think it's SYA hyung.

우주 : 샤 형이라고 생각합니다.

Which member is the best at cooking?

JINHWA: JINHWA

GO_U: There are no validated members.

고유 : 검증된 멤버는 없습니다.

JUHAN: Nobody

주한 : 없어요

SYA: SYA chelin (perhaps word play on "Michelin" - KW )

샤: 샤슐랭을 하는 샤

CHRIS: I don't know because I never saw them cooking.

LUTAN: I haven't seen the members who cook yet, but I think I'm probably the best!

루탄: 아직 요리하는 멤버를 보지는 못했지만, 아마도 내가 제일 잘할 것 같아요!

WOOJU: There isn't

How do you think you have changed as a person since joining Blitzers?

JINHWA: A Realistic Person

진화 : 현실적인 사람

GO_U: It hasn't changed. I've been the same person for 22 years.

고유 : 변하지 않았어요. 난 22년 동안 똑같은 사람이에요.

JUHAN: My original MBTI was INTJ, but I think it changed from T to F while living with the members, so I checked again and it changed to INFJ.

주한 : 나의 원래 MBTI 가 INTJ였는데 멤버들이랑 같이 살면서 T에서 F로 바뀐 것 같아서 다시 검사해보니 INFJ로 변했어요.

SYA: A person who can express my opinion strongly without losing to a strong opponent.

샤 : 강한 상대에게 지지 않고 강하게 내 의견을 얘기할 수 있는 사람 CHRIS: I think I became a person who thinks a lot nowadays.

LUTAN: I feel like I've become a person who goes back and forth between E and I. I have a lot to do in front of someone, but I wouldn't have been able to do anything in the past. On the contrary, there are many things that are compared to others, so there are times when I become more timid than before.

루탄 : E와 I를 왔다 갔다 하는 사람이 된 거 같아요. 누군가 앞에서 해야 하는 게 많은데 예전의 나라면 하나도 못 했을거에요. 또 반대로 남들과 비교되는 부분도 많다 보니 예전보다 많이 소심해질 때도 있어요.

WOOJU: A Smart Man

What is a memorable moment with BLEE?

JINHWA: When Blee cheered for me on the face-to-face stage!

진화 : 대면 무대에서 블리가 응원해줬을 때!

GO_U: The most memorable thing is that Blees from the U.S., including Korea, came to see us during our U.S. tour.

고유 : 미국투어 때 한국을 포함해서 미국에 계시는 블리들이 찾아와 준 게 가장 기억에 남아요.

JUHAN: My first movie date with Blee?

주한 : 블리와 처음 데이트한 영화 데이트?

SYA: The last fan signing event (the movie theater fan event)

샤 : 마지막 팬 사인회 (영화관 팬 이벤트)

CHRIS: Our first concert at the tour

LUTAN: The US tour is the most memorable. It's our first concert and we can't forget BLEE who cheered and cheered for us passionately. So I sometimes watch behind-the-scenes videos of our US tour.

루탄 : 미국투어가 가장 기억에 남아요. 우리의 첫 콘서트이기도 하고 열정적으로 환호하고 응원해주던 블리들을 잊을 수 없어요. 그래서 가끔 미국투어 비하인드 영상을 돌려보곤 해요.

WOOJU: I remember a lot of moments, but at the first concert! The moment the curtain opened and I saw Blee!

우주 : 많은 순간들이 생각나지만, 첫 콘서트 때! 커튼이 열리면서 블리를 본 순간!

What is a message you want to give to BLEE?

JINHWA: Thank you so much! I'm so thankful and I'm sorry. I love you!

진화 : 정말 너무 고마워요! 너무 고마워서 미안하기까지 한 블리! 사랑합니다!

GO_U: I will always work hard! Please support us and keep an eye on us!

고유 : 항상 열심히 노력할게요! 언제나 응원해주시고 지켜봐 주세요!

JUHAN: Bly, I love you! I miss you so much!

주한 : 블리야 사랑한다! 보고 싶어 죽겠다!

SYA: It's been a while since the album was released We prepared a powerful performance for this album as well, so please look forward to it!

샤 : 앨범 발매 후 활동하는 건 오랜만인데요! 이번 앨범도 블리처스답게 강렬한 퍼포먼스를 준비했으니 기대 많이 해주세요!

CHRIS: BLEE I miss you

LUTAN: Thank you so much and don't get sick. Eat well and be happy! Let's do another unforgettable performance! Let's make more memories together. I love you!

루탄 : 블리~ 너무 고맙고 아프지 말고 밥 잘 챙겨 먹고 행복만 하고! 잊을 수 없는 공연 또 해보자구요! 우리 앞으로 더 많은 추억 쌓아요. 사랑해~
