We all know and love BTS, right? They’re talented, kind, humble, hard-workers, the list goes on. However, we also know that their fanbase, ARMY, are just as talented. ARMY are not only dedicated fans, but some are also graphic designers, small business owners, marketing pros, and musicians. For this reason, we decided to highlight two of our favorite indie artists who just so happen to be ARMY as well.

Let’s get started!

Lea Cota

If you don’t know who Lea Cota is, now you do. Lea is a talented artist whose songs you may have heard on TikTok. Do ‘Odds On’ or ‘Sugarcane’ sound familiar to you? These two singles were both released in 2021 and are now a part of her recent EP, Swimming Skeletons.

If you’re on the K-pop side of TikTok, you may have seen a couple of concert edits made with Lea’s songs. Well, fun fact, Lea revealed a while back that ‘Odds On’ was inspired by Jungkook and ‘Sugarcane’ was inspired by Suga. Needless to say that this information made us love the songs even more because Lea perfectly encapsulated the fangirl life and the love we as fans have for our favorite artists. Her songs are beautifully written and light-hearted, which will have you romanticizing your life in an instant!

eydrey

Next up we have the talented 22-year-old Latina, eydrey. Similar to Lea, her songs ‘Solo Tú’ and ‘Bad Habits’ were released in 2021 and also became popular on TikTok. She is known for her addictive songs with catchy beats that make you want to simultaneously dance and cry to let your feelings out. If that sounds like your type of music, you’ll be ecstatic to know that her latest single, ‘Se Acabó,’ has a similar vibe to the two songs we just listed.

Not only that, but did you know she has a TikTok account dedicated to K-pop? Her account is @namjoonskrab and we love it! It’s always great to see musicians we listen to fangirl over artists they listen to as well. Just like the rest of the fandom, she also has a bias (which we’re sure you guessed by her username), so go check out her K-pop account.

We hope that after listening to these amazing artists you become as big of a fan as us because we can’t wait to see them continue to grow, gain recognition, and become known worldwide. Imagine hearing them perform their songs on tour one day? We’ll definitely be buying tickets when that day comes.

In the meantime, if you’d like to check out their music, make sure to give them a follow:
