BTS Namjoon Announces New Album 'Indigo' Release Date



BTS leader Kim Namjoon's eagerly awaited solo album finally has a release date. His first official solo album, Indigo, will be released on December 2, at 2pm KST.

In a statement released by Bighit music they state the excitement surrounding the album "We are excited to announce that RM, the leader of BTS, is preparing to release his first official solo album."

RM has already given fans an honest look into his world through two Mixtapes. Through Indigo, RM delivers his candid thoughts and feelings and showcases wide-ranging music through collaborations with various artists. We hope everyone’s excited about RM’s latest release!"

RM, famous for his spoilers and hints, posted the album title five minutes before the official announcement. On Instagram he posted a simple denim patch captioned 12/2 the release date for the album. 


Shortly after the official announcement, he also took to weverse to share his excitement after working on the album for over four years.

 "Thanks to you my first album is releasing, I prepared by working hard for (the past) four years. The image is a mood cut and not a jacket, it's a lot different from last time's work. Fun friends have been included, I ask for your kind cooperation until December 2."

Namjoon recently appeared on Rolling Stone with Pharrell Williams, in which they partook in an in-depth interview. Of course, speculation is rife that Pharrell will appear on the album after dropping multiple hints. Let the wait commence, pre-orders for 'indigo' will take place at 11am Tuesday, November 15, 2022 (KST.)
