kursor is a rising star in the Korean RnB scene. With his smooth vocals and soulful melodies, his music is a must-listen among fans of the genre.
Yet kursor is not a rookie to the scene, he debuted in the duo 2MUCH and 8LOOP with fellow RnB singer TE.O and has participated in various albums and OSTs.
kursor is not only blessed with sweet vocals but also talented in songwriting, composing, producing, and creating album art.
In this interview, we talk to kursor about his new music and his plans for the future.
What is your music creative process like?
I need lyrics to write a song. Even if they are not perfect, I prioritize words and phrases that can penetrate the song and match my style, and then I can create the outline of the song and add melody more easily. It feels like this process leads to music that suits my style better.
Can you tell us about your new song "Habit 버릇"?
"'Habit' is a song featuring JENYER. The lyrics express the moment when actions that were once done for each other with love and effort start to feel like a habit, as if the love has faded away. JENYER participated as a featuring artist in this song. "
How how did this collab with JENYER come about?
JENYER was a colleague whom I had known for a while. When I was conceptualizing 'Habit', I thought it would be great to have a female artist feature on it, and JENYER came to mind. Thankfully, she readily accepted and agreed to collaborate, so we were able to complete "Habit."
What is one of your habits?
My habit is showing only the left side of the face when filming videos or taking pictures.

I want to become an artist who comes to mind subtly and constantly, even if I don't make a strong impression at first.
Is there a musical style that you want to try in the future?
So far, I have mainly made music with a slow tempo, but if the opportunity arises, I would like to try making songs with more groove and rhythm. I don't know if the chance will come, but I hope so.
What are your goals?
My goal, for now, is to steadily release my albums and gradually approach those who don't know me yet.

I will be releasing my new single album in early June. It is a retro-style ballad number that represents the pure sound that I used to love when I was young, rather than trendy music these days. You can look forward to it.
