SEVENTEEN'S HOSHI Releases Self-Produced Song 'Stay' On His Birthday

On June 15th, fans of SEVENTEEN or CARATs celebrated HOSHI’s birthday with the surprise release of his self-produced song ‘Stay’. HOSHI contributed to the lyrics and composition of the song along with Glenn (lyrics and composition) and Nmore (composition and arrangement).

Stay’ is an upbeat love song that makes you feel like you’re newly falling in love with someone and wanting them to stay by your side.

Kwon Soon Young or known by his stage name, HOSHI, was born on June 15, 1996. His positions in SEVENTEEN are main dancer, lead vocalist, and leader of the performance team. Aside from his distinguished vocal and rap ability in SEVENTEEN hit tracks such as the recent release of '손오공 (Super)', HOSHI’s individual talents in choreography, music composition, written lyrics, and overall creative direction can be recognized in his first solo mixtape ‘Spider’ music video which has now gained over 19 million views since its release in 2021.

In the music video, HOSHI draws viewers in from the first image of him hanging upside down on metal bars swinging eerily like a spider. The lyrics were written by the artist himself and convey feelings of being trapped by an individual so alluring that they’ve captured him as prey as he calls out for help.
