Seventeen, Stray Kids, Le Sserafim, and Misamo to Perform at the 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen

The 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen lineup has been unveiled, featuring a diverse representation of Japan's musical landscape and its global connections. Embracing the theme of "Borderless" for this year, the show welcomes K-pop sensations Stray Kids and Seventeen from South Korea as notable first-time participants to help bring in the new year.

Joining them are the returning group Le Sserafim and the debut of the trio Misamo, composed of three Japanese members from TwiceNiziU, who recently made their debut in Korea this November, is set to return to Kohaku for their second consecutive year.

Originating as a radio program in 1951, "Kohaku" transitioned to television two years later. The show's traditional format involves dividing female and male performers into red and white teams, engaging in a musical showdown. The audience and judges then determine the winning team, marking a festive conclusion to the year before the arrival of the new one.
