Mnet to Launch Vocal Boy Group Survivor Show "Build-Up" with Lee Dahee as MC

 

On the December 5, Mnet announced the launch of a new program, 'Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival'.

'Build-up' meaning the process of building up steps toward completion. In the project, talented people who are confident in vocals regardless of genre and who love vocals will come together to become the best vocal boy group.

Actress Lee Dahee took on the role of MC for the program, further heightening expectations. Lee Dahee started with Mnet's 'Queendom' in 2019 and has been hosting 'Road to Kingdom' in 2022.




'Build-up' The project aims to create a complete vocal boy group composed of strong vocalists with both charm and skills. Centered around former and current idol main vocalists, it is expected that famous vocal powerhouses and talented people with attractive voices will gather to take on a fierce challenge to become a complete vocal group.

In particular, the participants are expected to present new charms by going through a new survival method specialized for vocal groups. They plan to showcase not only their vocal skills, but also singing techniques and tones that have never been shown by existing vocal teams.

Mnet stated that they plan to bring special fun and emotion to viewers with outstanding vocal skills and a stage of surprising scale.

Meanwhile, Yeo One, WEi, BDC, VANNER, UP10TION, JUST B, KNK, AB6IX, CIX, ONE PACT, Newkidd and A.C.E members also said to appear.

The judge panel will include artists renowned for their powerful vocals including; SG Wannabe's Lee Seokhoon, BAEKHO of NU'EST, BTOB's Seo Eunkwang, MAMAMOO's Solar, and Red Velvet's Wendy

Mnet 'Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival' is scheduled to air in the first half of 2024.
