Group TFN Disbands After 3 Years of Debut

It was announced that boy group TFN decided to go their separate ways.

According to Star News' exclusive coverage on February 29, it was confirmed that TFN (Noah, Xian, Kevin, Geonwoo, Leo, On, Zero, Kairi, Kio) decided to disband as of February. The four Japanese members, including Leo, Zero, Kairi, and Kio, have already moved to their hometown, Japan.

TFN released its first single 'BEFORE SUNRISE Part.' in January 2021 as a 9-member boy group from Korea and Japan that debuted with the release of '1'. They belonged to MLD Entertainment, which created the girl group Momoland, and were called 'Momoland's younger brother group' at the time of their debut.

Expectations were raised when the group won the Potential Award in the singer category at the 2021 and 2022 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) for two consecutive years.

In October 2022, the group name was changed from the existing team name T1419 to TFN, saying, "We have continuously received requests from global fans to change the group name due to the lack of efficiency in engraving the group name." TFN predicted another leap forward by adding the new meaning 'Try For New' to 'Teenager Fourteen Nineteen', but in the end, they were unable to overcome the wall of disbandment and dispersed.

TFN's last album is the 2nd mini album 'OUR TEEN: YELLOW SIDE', released in Japan in April last year. In Korea, they have not done much since the release of their first mini album 'BEFORE SUNRISE Part 4' in October 2022. The group celebrated their 3rd anniversary on January 11.

We wish the best for the members' future endeavors.
