The six-member boy group BE BOYS finally takes its first steps into the world with their first mini-album [BE:1] released on June 18.
Asking themselves the question, 'BE = exist, be alive', BE BOYS refuses to be bound by established frameworks and standards.
The six boys, Yunseo, Guhyeon, Minjun, Hakseong, Takuma, and Woncheon, are 'mischievous kids' with different personalities and energies. The group makes history as being the first K-pop group to debut a North Korean member, Hakseong.
Five of the six members have a background in audition programs, with Takuma, Hakseong, and Wonchon appearing on KBS 2TV's "MAKEMATE1," Yunso on Mnet's "Build Up," and Guhyun on MBC's "Boys Fantasy: Afterschool Thrill Season 2" and MBC M's "FAN PICK."
They are a team with a strong attitude of resistance and challenge, standing up to the world and proving their own existence in their own way. Their charms, which are clumsy but courageous, and quirky but sincere, are naturally incorporated throughout this album. You can listen to the heartfelt stories of the six mischievous children who have begun to fly freely.
The title track ‘I’M SO SORRY, BUT I LOVE YOU’ the title inspired the song 'Lies' by BIGBANG is a funky dance pop song that contains the confession of a boy who cannot hide his emotions and explodes. The cheerful lyrics such as “You are an idiot” and “I can’t control these emotions” are filled with sincerity, and the addictive guitar riff and escalating brass sound add to the excitement. It is a love song that highlights the quirky and pure energy unique to BE BOYS.

‘If I ain’t got you’ is a band pop song that cheerfully expresses the emotions of a boy who believes that love is everything. BE BOYS’s unique bright and pure energy is added to the paradoxical lyrics and youth comic-like sound. The addictive chorus and emotional development are the charming points.
‘CLOVER’ is a refreshing disco pop song about a journey to find your own four-leaf clover. The funky bass, bright synth sound, and addictive chorus combine to convey BE BOYS’ pure and positive energy. It is a cheering song that sings good luck to everyone running toward their dreams.
Finally ‘BE There’ is a ballad that contains a warm message from BE BOYS to their fans. The introduction that starts with the sound of a music box, the increasingly grand development, and the poetic lyrics tell us that they are each other’s reason for being. This is a heartfelt fan song that depicts the moment when 'we' become complete, not 'I'.
