Mnet’s upcoming global K-pop debut project BOYS II PLANET has released self-introduction videos for all 160 participants and successfully wrapped up its first official fan event, “PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE,” further raising expectations ahead of its premiere.
The self-introduction videos, called “1 Min + α PR Videos”, feature participants from BOYS II PLANET K and BOYS II PLANET C, and were released on June 16 and 17, respectively, via the official YouTube channel and global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus. Each participant had just over a minute to showcase their unique charm and talents—including singing, dancing, and rapping—through creative concepts like playing a teacher, pastry chef, or salesperson. These videos gave fans their first look at each participant’s character and dreams.

Prior to the video release, BOYS II PLANET successfully held its first official fan event, “PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE” on June 14 at DMC Culture Park in Seoul. This marked the first in-person meeting between all 160 participants and their fans, known as “Star Creators”. A large crowd of fans from Korea and abroad gathered, with many fans arriving a day early to secure prime viewing spots. The participants greeted fans along a special runway-style stage, handing out handwritten message cards to thank “Star Creators”. The event was also livestreamed on the official Instagram account, enabling global fans to join in real time.
Global interest in BOYS II PLANET continues to grow, with excitement reaching new heights following the release of the “1 Min + α PR Videos” and the successful fan event “PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE.” Both generated significant social media buzz, with BOYS II PLANET and related keywords trending on major platforms like X and Weibo, demonstrating the show’s rising popularity and passionate global fanbase.
