On August 29, Big Ocean E&M's first rookie girl group, iii, will make their official debut with the release of their debut single, [RE:AL iii].
iii comes from "inspiration," meaning "inspiring artists."
Comprised of six members: Taeri, Namkhing, Hana, Eungi
, Soobin (formerly of Universe Ticket), and Huran, this multinational girl group possesses a bold charm that aspires to be someone's idol. Their unique worldview, where idols come from AI and become reality, heralds a new wave of change in the K-pop scene.
Presented as virtual characters during their pre-debut, they will now appear in the real world as real-life humans, creating a unique storytelling experience.
Their first single, [RE:AL iii], marks the beginning of a six-member group dedicated to providing hope. It includes two tracks: the title track, "Forbidden Midnight (Real ver.)" and the track "Guilty."
The debut title track, "Forbidden Midnight (Real ver.)," is a K-pop reinterpretation of the melody of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from Peer Gynt's suite. The track features a dreamy synth sound centered around a powerful house bass that captivates the ear.
Structured like a fairytale, "Forbidden Midnight (Real ver.)" begins with a mysterious and dark introduction, and by the bridge, it ultimately delivers a hopeful message of escaping the dark reality and transforming oneself.
Music Video
The accompanying "Guilty" track boasts a whimsical and bright vibe, showcasing the members' cute and energetic sides over funky bass and drums. It's a track that conveys iii's unique charm, different from the title track, "Forbidden Midnight (Real ver.).
Meanwhile, iii plans to continue to showcase their charms to fans with consistent content following their debut.
