AHOF’s First MediaCon in Manila Set the Stage for Sold-Out FanCon

The wait was finally over—AHOF had arrived in the Philippines! The rookie boy group held their first-ever Philippine press conference, AHOF 1st Philippine FanCon Rendezvous in Manila Media Conference, on August 29 at the Sheraton Manila Hotel. The event gave media (who are all fans now, btw!) a sneak peek of what to expect from their sold-out FanCon at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

AHOF is a rising group under F&F Entertainment composed of Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, JL, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke. They first gained attention through the survival show Universe League and quickly built a strong reputation after earning multiple awards early in their career. Most recently, they received the ENA Rising Star Award and the ENA K-Pop Up Best Music Award for their title track Rendezvous at the K-Pop Up Chart Show.

The energy in the room soared as the members were introduced. One by one, they walked on stage with leader Steven paving the way, striking poses that drew loud cheers. The introductions were followed by a Q&A where each member showed off their personality, keeping the atmosphere warm and lively. Members of the media had so much fun with the members’ funny antics, but were also touched by their honesty and genuine love in answering questions from the press.

A highlight came when Steven shared that, while training as a rapper, he discovered a few Filipino rappers through JL, the group’s only Filipino member, who inspired him to listen to local artists. The mention delighted the crowd and created an even stronger connection between AHOF and their audience.

To cap off the event, AHOF surprised the press with not one but two live performances. They delivered powerful stages of their debut song Rendezvous and The Universe, impressing with their vocals and choreography. Even on a smaller stage, the group gave a performance that felt arena-ready.

The performances were followed by an ending ment where JL admitted that the group had a lot of doubts going into their first FanCon. But as the MediaCon lit up with cheers—and the crowd chanted “AHOF! AHOF!” after every song—those doubts completely melted away. JL said they could feel just how warmly they were welcomed in the Philippines, making the moment even more meaningful for all nine members.

With the cheers still ringing in their ears, AHOF closed their first Philippine MediaCon on a high note, leaving everyone even more excited for the sold-out FanCon. It was a rendezvous to remember, and just the start of AHOF’s story with their fans.

Special thanks to SBTown for the invitation!
