JUNHEE’s Special First Step: 1st Solo Mini Album ‘The First Day & Night’ Released

Artist JUNHEE is embarking on a special new chapter.

On September 12, JUNHEE released his first mini album "The First Day & Night" on all major music platforms, greeting fans worldwide with his long-awaited solo debut.

"The First Day & Night" marks JUNHEE’s first work as a solo artist. It is a collection of songs he had long hoped to share but had not yet unveiled, now finally introduced under his own name. The album is the culmination of that journey, ready at last to meet listeners. With "The First Day & Night," JUNHEE is determined to establish a distinct presence and solidify his standing as a solo artist.

The title track “Umbrella (10:00)” is a medium-tempo pop number that explores emotions toward a lover who only seeks him out when convenient. The song portrays the heartache of waiting for something unattainable, expressed through the imagery of ‘the rain, an umbrella, and myself left standing between them.’

Beyond its lead single, "The First Day & Night" captivates with tracks woven into a carefully designed narrative. From morning to nightfall, the album arranges music to reflect each time of day, following the rising and setting of the sun.

Beginning with track one “Umbrella (10:00),” continuing through track seven “Night (02:00),” and closing with “호랑이 장가 가는 날 (10:00),” the Korean version of “Umbrella (10:00),” JUNHEE curated the album with the hope that listeners would line up songs throughout the precious moments of their day, selecting songs to match their moods.

JUNHEE had already previewed his album for fans through a listening party, inviting about 300 attendees to experience all the tracks live. The event, filled with excitement and warmth, underscored his deep appreciation for fans and drew strong praise for the new work, raising anticipation for its release.

One month prior to the release of "The First Day & Night", JUNHEE pre-released the track “Supernova (00:00),” performing it on music programs. The song drew notable attention, reaching No. 1 on iTunes charts in seven countries and earning recognition across global rankings.

Looking ahead, JUNHEE plans to connect with fans through appearances on more music programs and diverse content.
