KiTbetter to Open First North American Manufacturing Facility in Los Angeles

KiTalbums produced by KiTbetter

South Korea-based KiTbetter, the creators of the physical-digital hybrid KiTalbum, is opening its first North American manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, CA, with the capacity to manufacture 4 million KiTalbums per year. The latest development in the company’s North America expansion, the facility will allow artists and their teams faster and more sustainable fulfillment when the first units begin shipping in early 2026.

KiTbetter has produced more than 10 million units since 2017, with the biggest sellers coming from K-Pop acts like SEVENTEEN, Jisoo, and Jinhi. Now they're rapidly expanding into Western markets with releases from Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, Megadeth, Duran Duran, Alanis Morissette, DEVO, and the B-52s, to name a few.

KiTbetter announced a first-of-its-kind upgrade to Duran Duran’s Danse Macabre: De Luxe KiTalbum to Dolby Atmos® immersive audio. They also launched pre-orders for a re-issue of DEVO’s ‘Freedom of Choice,” which includes two exclusive covers of “Whip It” from contemporary artists Teen Mortgage! and Scowl, as well as exclusive pieces of memorabilia within the case, demonstrating the value-add for the format.

“The United States is one of the largest music markets in the world, and demand for KiTalbums continues to grow,” said Joe Seok, Chief Executive Officer of KiTbetter. “This new factory allows us to meet that demand with the fastest and most efficient production possible while maintaining the quality and innovation that define our format.”

The list of artists releasing KiTalbums continues to expand, spanning legendary acts such as Duran Duran, DEVO, Public Enemy, and Alanis Morissette, as well as independent artists including Frankie and the Studs, Demrick, and KPop Demon Hunters’ breakout star Kevin Woo. KiTbetter also supports emerging talent through its self-serve platform, which enables small custom runs and gives artists complete creative control over their releases. To date, more than 10 million KiTalbums have been sold worldwide.

Artist-first and collector-driven, KiTalbums combine a physical collectible with a digital experience designed to restore music’s value as something to own, keep, and connect with. Every KiTalbum includes a pocket-sized KiT device that fans click near their phone or tablet to unlock music, videos, lyrics, and album credits.

The Los Angeles facility produces both the KiT device and its signature Jewel Box packaging using KiTbetter’s proprietary U-NFC (Ultrasonic Near-Field Communication) technology, protected by more than 30 patents. The company has developed its own specialized manufacturing processes and machinery to ensure precision, quality, and on-demand scalability, while reducing unnecessary waste. Each album is assembled by hand and on demand, combining advanced engineering with craftsmanship to deliver a customizable, sustainable result that strengthens the connection between artists and fans.

"We developed every part of this system from the ground up, including the machinery, the process, and the experience,” said Jason Park, Chief Technology Officer at KiTbetter. “Our goal was to create a manufacturing model that reflects the artistry of the KiTalbum itself, combining advanced engineering with craftsmanship to achieve innovation that is precise, efficient, and meaningful.”

“This is a proud moment for our team,” said Jennifer Sullivan, President, North America, and Chief Marketing Officer at KiTbetter. “Building a factory in Los Angeles reflects how far and how fast we’ve grown. It strengthens our ability to meet rising demand, expand our artist partnerships, and deliver every KiTalbum with the same level of creativity and attention that fans expect.”
