Rookie group MEGAMAX also known as MGX, debuted on September 7, 2021, with their mini-album Painted ÷ LOVE:.
The group consists of the members Rohan, Ha.el, Jini, Iden, Kan, and Jaehun. MGX is the first K-pop group to have a Mongolian member, Kan!
MEGAMAX recently won the "Rookie of the Year Award" at the 2021 World Star Entertainment Awards.
KpopWise was fortunate enough to have a video interview with the group to introduce our readers to them. Note, this interview was filmed shortly before member Jini's addition to the group. Jini is well known from appearing in Produce 101 and DSP's Burn Up 30.

Rohan: The title song "Painted Love" in our first album is a medium pop genre song that contains strong love that cannot be easily forgotten because it is deeply embedded in the heart. The first love that is affectionate and mournful but sweet.
네, 저희 1집에 타이틀곡 Painted÷LOVE:)는요. 가슴깊이 패여, 쉽게 잊혀지지 않는 강한 사랑, 애틋하고 애절하지만 달콤한 그런 첫사랑을 담은 미디움 팝 장르의 곡입니다.
Kan: There's a scene in the MV where we all paint together. That was the most fun and happy. I had a lot of fun since it was my first time.
뮤직비디오 찍을때 우리 다같이 페인트 그리는 장면이 제일 재밌고 너무 행복하고, 처음이어서 너무 즐거웠던거 같습니다.
What color do you think suits you the best? 어떤 색깔이 가장 잘 어울린다고 생각하세요?
Iden: I think purple will suits the best. Because it's dreamy and mysterious.

Rohan: Well, I have a lot of interest in clothes. I think everyone thinks so because I participated a little in choosing the outfit for the music video.

Iden: The person I respect most is Lim Jaebeom. I thought a lot about learning his musicality and values. That's why I respect him.
임재범 선배님을 가장 존경하고 있습니다. 음악성과 가치관을 배우고 싶다는 생각을 많이 했었거든요. 그래서 존경하는 선배님입니다.
Rohan: I really respect RM of BTS. As a leader of Megamax, I feel a lot of responsibility, and I think there's something to learn that he was able to lead the team so well. I respect RM of BTS a lot.
저는 방탄소년단의 RM 선배님을 굉장히 존경하는데요, 저도 메가맥스의 리더로서 많은 책임감을 느끼고 부족함을 느끼는데, 팀을 그렇게까지 이끌어갈 수 있었다는 그 자체로도 배울점이 있다고 생각이 들어서 방탄소년단의 RM선배님을 굉장히 존경합하고 따르고 있습니다.
Jaehun: I respect GD the most since he is an icon of K-pop that everyone recognizes.
저는 지드래곤 선배님을 가장 존경하는데요. 모두가 인정하는 케이팝의 아이콘이시라는 점에서 존경합니다.
Kan: I respect BTS so much. I think they helped promote K-pop around the world.
저는 BTS 선배님들을 너무 존경합니다. 케이팝이라는 장르를 전세계적으로 알리는데 도움을 주셧다고 생각해서요.
Ha.el: I respect Mariah Carey a lot. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a singer through her, and I respect her in many ways.
저는 머라이어캐리를 굉장히 존경합니다. 어릴적 제가 가수의 꿈을 가지가 된 계기이기도 하고 여러모로 굉장히 존경스럽습니다.
Iden: I want to learn how to cook. I like delicious food, so I want to cook and eat it myself.
네 저는 요리를 배우고 싶습니다. 맛있는걸 좋아해서 제가 해먹는걸 꼭 한번 해보고 싶습니다.
Rohan: I want to learn Climbing. I heard that it feels very good to conquer. I want to learn it.
네 저는 스포츠중에 클라이밍을 한번 배워보고 싶은데. 정복하는 기분이 그렇게 좋다고 들어가지고. 한번 배워보고 싶습니다.
Ha.el: I want to get a florist license. I like green color with living vitality.

Kan: I want to learn how to make clothes. I'm so interested in clothes.
