K-Pop Idol AleXa to Compete at the American Song Contest

K-pop soloist AleXa is set to compete at the upcoming American Song Contest, representing the state of Oklahoma.

The contest - which is set to premiere on 21 March - is a spin-off of the long-running Eurovision Song Contest, which has aired for almost seventy years.

The American Song Contest is set to be an eight-week long event in which fifty-six US states and territories compete in the ultimate singing battle across qualifying rounds, semi-finals, and a grand final, and will air on NBC, hosted by the first ever "American Idol" star Kelly Clarkson, and rapper Snoop Dogg.

AleXa's profile on the show's official website reads as follows:

"Though Oklahoma might be known for country music, K-pop musician AleXa represents the state's strong individualism. Her debut "Bomb" launched an award-winning international career when she was just 22 years old."

We here at KpopWise wish AleXa the best of luck in the competition.
