Where Are They Now? - "YG Treasure Box"

Over the course of ten episodes broadcast between November, 2018, and January, 2019 on JTBC2, YG Entertainment held a survival show called "YG Treasure Box".

The intense survival show, which has been deemed as not one of the best in survival show history now that it has finished, featured twenty-nine male trainees competing to earn a place in YG Entertainment's new boy group.

That boy group - TREASURE.

With twelve members in TREASURE now, what has happened to the other seventeen trainees since? Read on below to find out.

Asahi

Asahi is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include vocalist and visual.

Bang Yedam

Yedam is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include main vocalist.

Choi Hyunsuk

Hyunsuk is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include co-leader, main rapper, and main dancer.

Ha Yoonbin

Yoobin went on to leave YG Entertainment, despite originally being slated to debut in TREASURE's sibling group MAGNUM, which led to the two groups being merged into one.

He went on to debut as an independent soloist under his English name of Ben in January, 2020.

Haruto

Haruto is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include main rapper and visual.

Jang Yunseo

Yunseo went on to leave YG Entertainment, eventually joining rival company CUBE Entertainment, before leaving them as well.

According to his Instagram account, he is now an actor.

Jung Junhyuk

After the show, Junhyuk not only left YG Entertainment, but also South Korea.

Junhyuk now lives a non-idol life in Canada.

Kang Seokhwa

Seokhwa went on to leave YG Entertainment after the show, and competed on survival show "Produce X 101" as an independent trainee, where he placed 35th.

He went on to join OUI Entertainment in August, 2019, and eventually went on to debut in their boy group WEi in October, 2020.

Keita

Keita went on to leave YG Entertainment soon after "YG Treasure Box" ended, joining rival agency RAIN Company.

He has since debuted in RAIN Company's premiere boy group Ciipher in March, 2021.

Kil Dohwan

Much like Keita, Dohwan went on to leave YG Entertainment soon after "YG Treasure Box" ended, also joining rival agency RAIN Company.

He has since debuted in RAIN Company's premiere boy group Ciipher in March, 2021.

Kim Doyoung

Doyoung is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include main dancer and vocalist.

Kim Jongseob

Like so many of the other competitors on "YG Treasure Box", Jongseob went on to leave YG Entertainment, joining rival company FNC Entertainment.

He went on to debut in their rookie boy group P1Harmony in October, 2020.

Kim Junkyu

Junkyu is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include vocalist and visual.

Kim Seunghun

Seunghun ended up leaving YG Entertainment after the show, eventually joining rival company C9 Entertainment.

Seunghun ended up debuting as a member of CIX in July, 2019, alongside another competitor from the show.

This resulted in him debuting more than a year prior to the winners of "YG Treasure Box".

Kim Sungyeon

Sungyeon also ended up leaving YG Entertainment after the conclusion of "YG Treasure Box".

Following this, he went on to participate in "Produce X 101" as an independent trainee, where he placed 45th.

It is now rumoured that he will be debuting as an actor in the future.

Kim Yeonkyu

Yeonkyu left YG Entertainment towards the end of 2020, and ended up joining IST Entertainment shortly afterwards.

Yeonkyu is currently participating on the survival show "The Origin: A, B, Or What?", where he has made it through to the finale.

Kotaro

Following the show, Kotaro also ended up leaving YG Entertainment.

Since competing on the show, he has debuted as a member of the Japanese co-ed group DIAVO.

Lee Byounggon

Byounggon ended up leaving YG Entertainment at the beginning of 2019, joining rival company C9 Entertainment later that same year.

He went on to debut as the leader of boy group CIX in July, 2019 (thirteen months prior to the debut of TREASURE), now going by the stage name of BX.

Lee Inhong

Towards the end of 2020, Inhong ended up leaving YG Entertainment, before joining C-JeS Entertainment.

He is set to debut in the company's upcoming boy group M.I.C.

Lee Midam

Midam ended up voluntarily leaving both "YG Treasure Box" and YG Entertainment during the course of the show, before going on to join AAP.Y Entertainment.

Like many other trainees on the show, he went on to compete on "Produce X 101", where he placed 37th.

Since then, he has left AAP.Y Entertainment as well, and has stated that he has left idol life entirely.

He enlisted for his mandatory military service in August, 2021.

Mahiro

Following "YG Treasure Box", Mahiro was put through his paces on another survival show in Mnet's "Produce X 101", where he placed 49th.

Following this, he left YG Entertainment, and ended up joining OUI Entertainment, as did many other trainees in the show, although he ended up leaving them as well in January, 2020.

He then went on to join Dream Passport, and debuted as a member of BUGVEL in March, 2022.

Mashiho

Mashiho is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include main dancer, vocalist, and visual.

Park Jeongwoo

Jeongwoo is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include main vocalist.

Park Jihoon

Jihoon is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include co-leader, main dancer, and lead vocalist.

So Junghwan

Junghwan is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include vocalist and maknae.

Wang Jyunhao

The only Taiwanese competitor on the show, Jyunhao went on to compete on "Produce X 101", where he placed 58th.

Following this stint on another survival show, he left YG Entertainment.

He joined OUI Entertainment alongside other teammates, but eventually, deciding instead to join Dream Passport.

He has now debuted in the new boy group BUGVEL in March, 2022, now under the new stage name of Guno.

Yoon Jaehyuk

Jaehyuk is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include rapper and vocalist.

Yoon Shiyoon

Following "YG Treasure Box", Shiyoon decided to leave YG Entertainment, making the path over to WM Entertainment.

He is still currently a trainee with them.

Yoshinori

Yoshi is currently one of the twelve members of TREASURE. His roles (as designated by fans) include rapper and dancer.
